This thing with I will pass this down to my children does not mean anything because what we like does not mean kids as they grow up will like or use. I have seen and heard stories of men passing down knives and nice 1960s muscle cars to their children and they would sell it all with no interest what father had or used. One story was a man had a nice 1967 Mustang fastback and he had to sell it because the kids said they do not want an old man's car they wanted a SUV instead with screens inside . So I say buy things you like for yourself and do not dwell on passing down things you like and own.
Well I had two wood masters 742 li have one to a kid years back and I kept one both were great shooting guns no problem Whit them great guns if you take care of them clean oil...... from an old 76 years old man........
Yep I had the same problem trying to mount the seats to the bracket the stupid ass wipes that made this shit should be kicked in the nuts. I had to do so much fabrication the mounts without the sliders cuz I didn't want the seats to move at all. Yeah whoever designs that seat bracket for these seats needs to be kicked in the nuts about 10 times.
Belatedly viewing this video but for what its worth I had a gunsmith remedy the recall instead of Colt. A more substantial Kimber recoil rod system was installed as well as a new safety with the traditional commercial style paddle as featured on the full sized Government Model. To improve the sight picture he also installed AO express night sights. (Another approach would be a simple shotgun bead in the trench at the muzzle like on a Walther Model 3 to keep the slick top). I finally had a drop in Wilson beavertail grp safety and Smith & Alexander mainspring housing with magazine well installed. A bigger and heavier gun but more comfortable to shoot, almost a Commander Combat Unit Officers Model.
Classic Firearms $320 for NRA VG G22 Gen 3 - no box, one mag but very nice condition - just basically polished up lol = i went to the range and shot it - functioned perfectly and shot right to point of aim, so I'm pretty happy with it. It is my second LE trade-in - first one is a G17 Gen 2 and it shoots so well that it's almost like magic. Hard to beat these trade-ins.
Thanks I need my new 270wood master I all ready seen on there yesterday it was sitting new on a box from about 40 years a go I was conceded a child gun dealer on the internet
Most of these are bargains because they are hard to clean and after a while start jamming so people think something is wrong with them and sell them when all they really need is a good cleaning. The book on these Remington rifles will say that you should take them to a gunsmith to take apart because they are difficult to work on. That is a design flaw in my opinion. What state are you in?
I have a 742 in 06 , 1980 , I love this rifle, if you keep the gun clean It’ll serve you well, there’s also some really good advice on RU-vid about greasing the slides properly ! Also my local gunsmith advises” NOT “ to shoot anything over 150 grain , and don’t try using it repetitive target practice . I’ve had absolutely no jamming ever , I just hunt with it , & love it ! You’ll not touch mine for $200 lol , thanks
ALWAYS take a backup rifle on your hunting trips. Rifles are much cheaper than hunts that end in equipment failure. I bought a 742 in 1981, and although I've never really liked it that much, I will keep it until the end. Great video!
Are these really KCI mags? The baseplates on these mags are plain. The KCI mags will have "KCI" imprinted on the baseplate. These mags may be the Khan mags also from S. Korea but they are of lesser quality than the KCI. I have 10 KCI and 10 Khan from around 2008-09 time period. I had to clean up the excess plastic molding inside the mag body on the Khan mags to get them to work. Did not have to do anything with the KCI mags. Furthermore, most of my Khan mags do not drop free on my Gen3 G17. But they drop free on my Gen4 G17. The KCI mags drop free on all my G17/19. The springs were weaker on both KCI and Khan mags, so I replaced them with Glock OEM or Wolff a few years ago. All these Korean mags still work well to this day.
Nice of you to provide this overview. I think when you buy a Universal Seat, you should expect to possibly make some simple modifications. Cutting off the bracket after determining your need doesn't seem to be asking too much. Much better than having to add height or asking them to make a specific bracket for every application.
The one in the middle on your table is also called a BLACK SHEEP I have a 67 " I bought for fun in 36# its a little long for me but shoots like a dream.
For The Space Between The Mag & The Mag Well, Go To A Hardware Store & Get The #64 O-Ring ($1) & Then Put Them On The Mag, All The Way Down To The Base... Then When U Put The Mag Into The Grip, That "Pinch Space" Will Be Gone, Thanks To The O-Ring...
What a class collection of Sodbuster knives, I love this shape of knife and have just recently starting collecting this pattern, I am going to have watch this video again to see what I have missed to check to see what is available here in the UK,nso far I have only found which I can purchase; the Kissing Crane Brown mule a nice looking knife. Thank you for sharing your collection Take care Sam
I just got this drill because I needed some extra power over my cordless, and I'm very satisfied with it. My directional switch however is backwards. So that was a little weird. If you put it in the forward position it goes reverse, if you put it in reverse position it goes forward so I figured that out obviously with my very first try. I think I can live with that. Somebody just wired it backwards I guess. I was actually surprised to find an 8 amp DeWalt drill with that much power for $84. I guess they were a little lower in price when this guy made the video. But right now July of 2022 everything is overpriced! Compared to what else was available though I was happy with the price
Is this th same gun they call the Lightweight? I have the Lightweight version, bought used many years ago in virtually new condition, and have only run probably a couple mags through it yet. After reading here about a recall, should I contact Colt and see if my Lightweight is also part of that recall? Or do you know? Oh, the Lightweight inscription on mine is on the same side as the Colt .45 text, yours seems to be on the opposite side, if that means anything. Thanks for the review and info!!!
Have one bought it back in the day due to the 3 cell configuration......had never seen one before.....they don't put out alot of lumens don't have hi or low......but they sure last a long time at whatever lumen they work at.
Not true. The lightning bolt indicates 2010 through 2019. Flip it over and ss is stamped on the other side for stainless steel. Also cv is "chrome vanadium" not "carbon version." It is high carbon and you are correct that it is wonderful
The Elite seats that I just bought come with head rest. Tomorrow I'm going to cut tabs to make it fit properly in my 79 Firebird. The Driver seat has a problem of the spacing fore and aft on the sliders being off and I had to use a bloody hammer to drive the bracket into place. Gonna try grinding down the ends to get a better fitment tomorrow.
