the feminist point is really interesting, it's also how western people look at women in islam is trapped or forced to be submissive, but in actuality they are empowered in their own way
I am Uzbek-Norwegian, and when I read this manga, I can only weep for us. Central Asia is beautiful yet tragic. When this was set, it happens during the Russian invasion of Central Asia. This manga has greatly reinforced my sympathy for Ukraine.
Greetings from Kazakhstan🙌 Amira is a girl from the Kazakh tribe, and Karluk is most likely an Uzbek. You can watch the documentary - The Eagle Huntress (2016) - about a 13-year-old Kazakh girl - Aisholpan Nurgaiv, who became a hunter with a golden eagle. Also, if you are interested in nomadic culture of central Asia, I advise you to watch the movies - 1)Tomiris (2019) 2)Myn Bala: Warriors of the Steppe (2012) 3)Nomad: The Warrior (2005)
The covers for your Emma volumes don't match what Yen Press show as the covers on their website. Your volume 5 has the same cover as their volume 9 and your volume 4 has the same one as their volume 7. Also, Nana is pronounced more like "nah-nah"
For Maid-sama I would recommend watching the anime, I know this is a little late but I just started watching your channel 😂. The art in the anime is different and better in my opinion, plus it’s very entertaining to watch. The anime is what got me to read the manga instead of the other way around. Btw, I love your collection, many of my favorites in there.
I just purchased the Wotakoi box set and started reading it. I hope you were able to read it. I, too, love the main couple, and I want to see how it goes 😊.
Great haul! I'm glad you could manage to complete some series in your collection 🎉Imaginary is kind of mundane, and has quite realistic like dialogue with the characters, so I think that's why people found it boring. I quite liked it but its been a while since I did read it 😅 I've been sitting on my Nausicaa of the Valley for a while... I must read it!!
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your thoughts on "Imaginary"; I was so curious how some people came to that conclusion. 😆 And I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it! As for "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind," I hope you're able to read it soon! It's always rewarding checking off a classic from the to-read manga list. 📚 Happy reading! (´ ᴗ`✿)
Congratulations on completing Nana! It is always a great feeling to complete a series. Especially one you’ve been collecting for a while! Love me for who I am I’m going to be honest, I cried a lot! I am really excited to hear your thoughts so please message me when you have time! I need to do a reread of it. Your whole who has time to read manga made me laugh as I completely understand. All these mangatubers reading everything they have is wild to me. If you have a lot to unbox & you want to get them out of the way. You could do a huge haul just this once. Or you could inbox it all but break the video up. Either way I’m excited to see it! So happy for you that you got so much awesome stuff ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words and congratulations! Completing a series is indeed a wonderful feeling, but now comes the hard part... reading it. 😂 I will definitely let you know my thoughts on "Love Me for Who I Am", and thanks for the heads up! I'm a crier too, so I'll need to prepare myself. 😆 I appreciate your suggestions for the unboxing videos; I'm genuinely considering doing a massive haul to get things out of the way. I like your idea of breaking the haul up between multiple videos, but I could release all the videos at the same time to satisfy the people who want to see a big haul and the people who dislike longer videos. :P You can't please everyone, but I always try. lol Thanks again for your support and enthusiasm. 📚❤️
I watched Nana anime before. Didn't like it much. Actually Japan has classic shoujo manga that are timeless like Candy Candy, Rose of Versailles, Glass Mask, Tokimeki Tonight.
I have been huge fan of Chica Umino since ‘07 and H&C . I got into March few years later and still obcessed with it. It is a slow, character driven story, currently at chapter 202 and final arc. With denpa though, it will take long time to catch up in release. The release gets pushed back so many times, like again the second volume got delayed until November and third is supposed to come out may next year😞
Thank you so much for your insights on March Comes in Like a Lion, it sounds amazing. 👀 And I didn't realize that Umino-sensei was the mangaka of Honey and Clover, but the art is a dead giveaway now that I think about it. I really wish that series would get a reprint, I want it so bad. 😭 I totally understand your pain. (T⌓T) It's always frustrating when release schedules experience delays, however, the anticipation can add to the excitement when new volumes finally do come out. Stay strong my friend, and I hope you enjoy every moment of the new volumes when they're released. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
The only time I look presentable is when I'm filming; I look homely the rest of time. 🤣 Your support means a lot, and I can't wait to share more videos with you! (人´∀`)
This haul is chef’s kiss 💋 … hearing you like in the clear moonlit dusk reminded me yamamori-sensei will go hiatus for about 8 long months due to Health problems. She will be back April 2024. I like big hauls like this because this gives us more manga reviews in one sitting. Can’t wait for you manga wrap up video 🥰
Aww thank you, I'm so happy you liked it! (*´∀`*) I didn't realize Yamamori-sensei was having problems, but I'm happy to hear that she is prioritizing her health, and I look forward to her return in the new year. 😌 I really appreciate your feedback and tysm for supporting my content. 🥰 Keep an eye out for the wrap-up, and until then, happy reading my friend! 🌙📖✨
Love your new hair, you look even more gorgeous than usual! Skip and loafer has everything, dark/light, fun/sadness, complex themes, but portrays everything effortlessly and simply, that’s what makes it so special for me. No over the top drama, genuine conversations. Norgami is ending!!! This month. I can’t even process it, it’s heartbreaking.Noragami anime got me into the manga back then, had to read it from start because the anime changed a lot. Imagine the hardship of keeping up with this manga for so long, and so many hiatuses, slow release because of adachitoka getting sick, I often felt dispair😭 Now that it’s ending, I don’t want to let go. Once you start the manga, I think you will bing read.
I completely agree with your thoughts on "Skip and Loafer"! 🧐 I relate to the journey of keeping up with a manga, especially with hiatuses and delays. It can be quite challenging, but it's also a testament to your dedication as a fan! I'm actually quite shocked that Noragami is ending... I thought for sure it'd be around longer... now I'm wondering if I should have waited for the boxset that will undoubtedly be announced after it ends. (┳◡┳) Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me, I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Depending on how much you read a week, I recommend reading a portion of a large series per week. For example, I read 9 volumes a week. I usually only read 3-4 volumes of a particular series each week. So I read Shaman King earlier this year(35 volumes), and I'd read one 3-in-1 omni a week, leaving the other slots in my log for other series. It helps a series not feel as long to me, and if the plot ends up going through a slow period, I have other series I'm reading that may be going faster or easier to read at that time that I can lean on to get through the tough parts. Another reason I like it is that the other slots are made up of shorter series, so I can still feel good completing series as I'm continuing through the large one.
Thank you for sharing your reading strategy with me. Breaking down a large series into smaller portions per week is a smart approach to avoid feeling overwhelmed and keep the story engaging. It's also great to hear that you're able to mix in shorter series; I also love that feeling of accomplishment with completing a series. ( •̀ ᴗ •́ )و Your method sounds like a wonderful way to enjoy the depth of a larger story while appreciating the variety that other series bring. Thank you for sharing your approach with me. I'll have to try it out sometime! 😊
Love In Focus was so much fun! I couldn’t get into that Wolf Boy yet was fun seeing the crossover. Cardcaptor Sakura! The manga is the best in my opinion. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I am horrible with long series as well cause it intimidates me. I started a ten volume rule. Read ten volumes at a time. If I focus more than that I won’t lol 😂 great haul!!!!
I'm so glad you enjoyed "Love In Focus"! The crossover with "That Wolf-Boy Is Mine!" sounds like a delightful surprise, even if it wasn't quite your cup of tea. 👀 And yes, "Cardcaptor Sakura" is a classic! I'm excited to dive into it and share my thoughts too. ✨ Your approach of reading ten volumes at a time is a smart way to tackle longer series! It keeps things manageable. 🤔 I'll have to test it out and see if it works for me. Thank you for your kind words about the haul and happy reading!! ◝(^ヮ^)◜
Aww, thank you so much for the compliment! 😊 And I appreciate your kind words about the haul. It's always a pleasure to share these exciting finds. Happy reading and enjoy your day! (^ω^ )
I just discovered your channel and subscribed :) My favorite manga are Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (a forgotten masterpiece and i can't recommend it enough ♥), Witch Hat Atelier, Natsume's Book of Friends, My Happy Marriage, Colette decides to die, Laid-Back Camp, ReLIFE and Flying Witch (such an underrated series full of wholesomeness and subtle magic ♥)
Thank you for subscribing, I truly appreciate your support. 😊 Your favorite manga list is fantastic! (a bunch of those series are on my wish list. 👀) "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" is going to be in my next haul and I can't wait to give it a read!! If it's anything like the movie, it's going to be epic. Happy reading! 📚✨
Love your haircut! Your thumbnail looks like you're on a little throne of manga packages 😂Lovely haul! I've heard good things about Kowloon Generic Romance, but haven't gotten into it yet either!
Thank you so much for the compliment! 😊 And I love my little manga throne. 📚🤣📚 "Kowloon Generic Romance" does seem intriguing, doesn't it? (*≧ω≦) If you ever get around to it, I hope you enjoy the read! Tysm for watching!
Usually for big series I like to do reading sprints a few times a week or I will read like 5 volumes then read a short complete series or one shot and come back to the bigger series. I find that if I binge a series I become bored of it and going to one shots helps me stay interested.
I love your reading strategy! Mixing things up with reading sprints and incorporating other series makes a lot of sense - sometimes a change in pacing and genre can re-energize your interest and prevent burnout. 🤔 Thanks for sharing your approach; I'm definitely going to try it out! Happy reading and may your reading sprints be filled with enjoyable adventures! (≧∇≦✿)
Great haul! Blood on the tracks...I need volume 14!! As for happiness, I personally really enjoyed it, although it is due a re read! Its very bingeable. Summertime rendering is an entertaining read and did a good job keeping me invested how things will unravel. The setting is great. I'd say it's more of a mystery thriller with maybe a slight zest of horror. Happy reading!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed "Happiness" and that you found it binge-worthy. I'm so glad I picked up the whole series; nothing is more annoying then finding a bingeable series and not having the next volume. 😂 Thank you for sharing your insights on "Summertime Rendering". I love a thrilling mystery, so I'm excited. 🔎 Wishing you happy reading too! Enjoy your literary adventures! 📚
Yay! Thank you for all your kind words! 💛 Spending time with Jordaline and being part of her vlog was an absolute blast, and I'm glad you liked it too! Sending you lots of appreciation and positivity! 🤍🎉
Awwww you cut your hair! Look so nice on you 💕💕💕 I love skip and loafer! After watching the anime, I bought all the volumes available in a heart beat. I agree with having love and hate relationship with amazon. You get your manga asap but at what cause….😢😭
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! 💛 I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the Skip and Loafer anime; I should really check it out one of these days. 🧐 And yes, Amazon can be a bit of a double-edged sword. It's incredibly convenient to get things quickly, but the toll it takes on local bookstores and the joy of discovering a hidden gem while browsing in person is definitely a downside. 😢 Thanks again for your lovely words, and happy reading! (.❛ ᴗ ❛.)
Everything from the author, cocomi, of Restart series is great. “Loss time ni hanamuke wo” has been licensed and set to release by next year. Please do check it out. The other books are not licensed but available online. “I can’t reach you” is slow burn friends to lovers, and good slice of life. The romance in “one week friends” was not as developed as I hoped but it is a good story, bittersweet and hopeful, has live action and anime both.
I took a look at "Loss Time ni Hanamuke wo" and it looks really good! I LOVE the cover; hopefully the same cover is used for the English version, because it's just so darn pretty. 🤩 Thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendations with me! 💛
Me too! 💖 I recently read volumes 1-6 AND watched the entire anime and it is so cute!!! I'm going to talk about it in my next wrap-up and I'm so excited. (⺣◡⺣)♡*
Welcome back and happy to see you again! ☺️ hope you’re doing alright 💘 you got a handful of some of my fav series like that Restart vol, Sasaki and Miyano, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun…so many great pick ups! 🥳
Thank you for the warm welcome! 🤍 I'm doing better now. 😊 I hope you've been doing well and that life has been treating you kindly. Hearing that I have a bunch of your favourite series makes me eager to read them. 👀 I have read up to volume 5 of Sasaki and Miyano, and it's so cute!!! **♡( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )
