The Community of Jesus is an ecumenical Christian community in the Benedictine monastic tradition on the shores of Cape Cod Bay. Members of the Community come from many walks of life and from a variety of Christian traditions. The Community is comprised of families with children who live in homes that surround the church, as well as twenty-four religious brothers and sixty-six religious sisters. At the heart of the Community's ministry is the witness of its common life, the worship of God, and the work of creativity expressed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit; glorifying God in the visual and performing arts, and in the publishing of books and music. communityofjesus.org/
Often i feel as though technology has played a significant role in why some of us have gone astray, then there is the blessing of hearing these each day all the way here in Texas. Thank you and may God continue to bless the community.
Thank you! We began live-streaming these services in 2020 to enable people to join us in prayer via the internet. So glad you are able to pray with us from Texas. 🙏
Are the non-professed members and children in nearby residence? Where are the children educated? And how is the community involved in the secular world?
I’m so thankful to discover the community of Jesus this past Sunday with my friend Randi, sister in Christ Jesus. God is so intimate with His family gifting us every moment. The joy in all circumstances. I will join you in prayers 🙏🏻🤍✝️
Stunningly beautiful mosaic as art and as spirituality. I hope every second of thought and effort that went into this project--the actual project and the project of recording and presenting it in this video--was experienced as what we are on earth for, what life on earth is. For me, this is meditation through work, in this case, the human, visible work of building (together with our spirit companions and guides) a home of prayer.
Oh my God I was there, now I'm here in United States in Illinois. I came 2018 I got the Scholarship at Benedictine University. All along I was trying to find out where are here in America. Actually I'm looking for Sister Marcy, she was in the group. She used to write a letter to me in South Africa.
I lost the address if someone can help me I will appreciate that. Her name is Sister Mercy. That time at iNkama I was working I the boarding school. Thanks.
Hi, this is Sister Alberta from South Africa. I have a question about the Community of Jesus. Have ever been.in South Africa as group. The group performed in Durban City, INkamana Abbey, I think even in Johannesburg.
The Vox Humana actually goes back to the 1500's and perhaps even earlier. Fascinating though - I love organ tours and to hear the individual stops just as much as organ recitals!
Blessed Eastertide to all - We are thrilled to be able to add another beautiful video of music and sacred art to our channel and to our "Gift of Listening" Playlist!
Thanks you for sharing this beautiful piece with the beautiful photos that accompany it. It is inspiring to have access to spiritual experiences during this time when we are not gathering as a community, Mally Hocker Bird, Class of 1960, Wilson College
What a thrill to hear the completion of the organ and to be able to put myself in that space as though I was there in person. I can't help thinking what a source of joy it is for everyone who has worked on it over the years as well.
Thanks Paul, I miss the Church and I am a Deer panting and you have given me a drink to help the thirst.....beautiful and much needed right now! Sharing is caring!
