@timliscum2861 There was 3 mantas as part of the bojacks race team this Manta was part of. This twinntrack version and 2 single track versions But the alloeutte twin track sled from 1974 did have all 3 versions of those size motors you mentioned The mantas had Sachs 340 or 440 but could get motor delete and add your own motor besides they would put your motor in Also if provided.
@timliscum2861 never did from factory Maybe an independent racer put 1 in on own to use for racing Otherwise the alloeutte is the sleds that used all 3 sizes you mentioned earlier Those all up in Canada yet
Some mantas were modified with ifs front suspension and Also had liquid cool motors installed. You can see some of those on other show videos from. The twintrackworld youtube page
Just gotta tell you, you have the best vintage sled show videos out there!! You hit all the angles, and pause perfectly, so even a slow old man like me can stop it in time to do a little reading. Love the rear "riders view" as well. Its seems that no one thinks of that. I know that this sucks up a crap load of time and gas money, and I want you to know that I truly appreciate it to the max!! Thanks again my friend, and maybe I'll run into you sometime, so I can buy you a beer or coffee 😎👊
Made in dexter michigan, my dad had the 2nd one built, first sold to the public, ... it was junk, they took it back for full price and we got the first 44TT built..
Does anybody remember Jim Edemia? He raced for Sno~Jet at first. Then Yamaha bought him out and died in a oval race. He was my hero as a kid. Then my dad. He really knew how to set up a sled.
I drag raced Arcticcats. I raced a634 Puma. 340 Z( my dad’s buddies) and a440Z. We kicked Azzzzz even if they did put the wrong sleds in our class. We are out of Michigan
I used to drag race my 1971 Puma. And my dad’s 440Z from 1976 to 1980 in the WSRF racing Circuit. We did great. We ended up racing against people from Canada. Switzerland. Finland and other countries can’t remember them all but we did great we raced out of Michigan.
