Before I even watch this I can tell you what happened you shouldn’t drive with a long trailer if you don’t know how to drive it that was ridiculous you can’t fix stupid
19:37 back up that homles wrecker boom & use it to get a upward lift reducing resistance. Best way is a cradle each corner rear corner with a snatchblock on the boom side so it acts like a auto leveler. Then use the wrenches from the others to pull it to you.

Awesome video. I gotta say I like the synthetic winch line for ease of use but I had to replace it every year, so I switched back to steel cable on my suburban and trailer but two of my portable winches have synthetic and that keeps the weight down as well as easy pulling.
Yes, but I think it was the type of synthetic rope You were using. cheap Amazon stuff and Harbor freight stuff. You do have to replace them more often, but I usually get years out of them with heavy heavy use.
28:54 is there anyway you can bolt or weld a small skid plate to protect those steering hose & fittings? Save you pulling it all apart to put them at the back.

You guys are good at what you do. I admire how you always make sure to keep the area clean by picking up trash and stuff. I am looking forward to seeing the wrecker go up Pritchard. That will be a challenge but I know you guys can do it
So seriously the lesson we get to Monday morning quarterback is the stuck party wasn’t framed out. There was a danger zone. Traction was poor. A slower controlled winch woulda been the way I’d gone. A static strap pull with no kinetic energy might have been ok but I probably woulda chained up in that slick stuff especially if I’m responsible for someone else. Any other thoughts ?
