You can say what you want about John Edwards, he is more genuine than a lot of others out there, if he gets something wrong so what you can't be right 💯 of the time, doing this is emotionally draining. Keep on keeping on John I think your amazing & you make a lot of people happy. 😊❤
I spent years trying to stay out of the sun, I got depressed, anxiety, overweight and looked like filth. Just enjoy the sun, we're not here forever, enjoy each moment and chance you get to get out into the sun.
Wondering why skin cancer is supposedly increasing and I see everyone slathering and spraying every time they go out. Seems off. My relatives spent all weekend at the beach for years. No skin cancer and no sunscreen. Something does not add up.
I haven’t worn sunglasses for years (except in the high altitude mountains). I also wear long sleeves and long pants if it’s going to be very sunny. Otherwise I try to get out in the mornings and evenings when the sun isn’t so harsh.
Sunscreen and sunglasses block the important UVB rays, uvb rays stimulate production of melanin which is important for many reasons, not the least of which being protective against sunburns. See Dr Alexis Cowan
I have two freckles behind my right eye ball. I am terrified to go without my sunglasses at 57yrs young. I never wore sunglasses until forty something. I am afraid that those feckles will become cancerous....do you have any advice?
Agree that physical barriers are ideal for protection from the sun. This is how people protected themselves for thousands of years. The problem is that people now walk around half naked in beaches and public so they need artificial/potential harmful chemicals instead.
Why wouldwe need sunglasses?? It tells your body it's night… Being a Carnivore I've gotten rid of all these issues (sunglasses, sun protection…) and chronic pains. Plants and seeds and oils mess with our hormones and and causes photosensitivity, especially nightshades.
He is probably 100x smarter than everyone in this comment section. That’s why you value what this great man says. Could he be wrong? Yes, he’s a man. Does he have skills that 99.9% of us haven’t acquired? Likely.. And is thus worth attention and success. He’s taught me a lot. I’m grateful. This is a real man of character.
He really doesn’t understand the biochemical dimension of breathing because he does not work with people, he is going off his scientific realm……he is offering confusing information. Sarah is much more clear because of her experiences.
The problem with the sun now is that the earth’s electro magnetic field has weakened 30% in the past 150 years and is currently losing 5% more every 5-10 years and all that extra radiation is not good for our bodies. Not the mention that we’re also at peak solar storm activity until 2025-2026. Protect yourself and you’ll still get enough UV to get what your body needs.
@@RolandKoller90 Sunglasses are not a bubble. They are a sensible precaution for those of us living in very hot sunny locations, along with pharmaceutically proven sunscreen.
Loved the first interview I heard with him. Started have reservations just 2 or 3 interviews later. Now I think he is a snake oil merchant. He can sound very sciencey and very sincere but so can any good snake oil merchant.
I started making my own sunscreen after reading the label on store bought stuff and seeing all the petroleum derived UV absorbers. Making your own is so simple. Made mine by combining zinc oxide, beeswax, shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E oil. Thats it!
Formulating your own sunscreen is actually really difficult, just mixing those ingredients together isnt enough. Without expensive equipment, it can be near impossible to create something where the filters are present to the exact same degree within every part of the concoction, as opposed to clumping everywhere and other forms of non-uniform coverage
@@elmox9682 youre actually not wrong, I did notice a small fraction of zinc oxide settled to the bottom when the mixture solidified. That said, in practice I havent gotten any sunburn since using this stuff. And I dont have to worry about petroleum derived UV absorbers which can be argued to be "safe" for humans but documented evidence already shows certain absorbers being terrible for aquatic life. Its so bad that many islands banned certain sunscreens because the absorbers kill coral reefs.
@nataliakp8237 Carbohydrates (which are just sugar) makes one more sensitive to the sun's UV light. People who live on grains, fruit, and dairy (and processed nonsense) burn easier and acquire all the ill effects being a carboholic brings, including cancer.
I live in Phoenix Az a very sunny place. I use to use sunglasses and my eyes were very sensitive to the light. I read the book Renegade Beauty and decided to ween my eyes off of sunglasses. It's now been 10+ years with no sunglasses. My eyes are strong and I never squint. The body adapts if you give it time.
Or you may be unnecessarily damaging your eyes without realizing it, and going blind/losing eyesight earlier than you would had you continued to protect them properly.
@@Youttubeuser20932 maybe but my eyes seem stronger than they were before. I believe computer screen light is much worse than natural sunlight for the eyes.
@@MarsblissGuidedMeditation Based on what? One confounding variable with computers is the focal distance. The sun itself is way more dangerous, with the UV intensity. If you stare at a computer for an hour, you’ll be fine. Attempt to do the same with the sun, and you’ll be blind. I may sound confrontational, but I honestly don’t want you to fuck up your eyes based on speculation by those who aren’t experts in eye health, or just general misinformation. Going blind, even partially, is a terrible disability. Best wishes.
I am really disappointed in him and concerned that people actually think he is a valid source of health and science. He is controlled by Stanford and their corruption to say what benefits the powers that be. He is not researching and broadening his understanding and someone I certainly would not follow health advice from.
I’m impressed that Dr Perry has heard of the Balfour letter. What Palestine and Ireland and Australia have in common is colonialism, and in the case of Palestine and Australia White Supremacy. Colonialism has fuelled most of the human rights abuses around the world.
Yes sunlight, sleep, excercise nutrition all have been doing for 20 years - I’m 57 and people think I’m 45 - and certain sunscreens cause cancer - so what’s in it as Zinc is good and people should figure out their burn time to apply - I let my eyes see the sunrise on my walks and I sleep so well
@@stevefrazier2214 Thanks, why barefoot ? For someone with Melasma who must wear sunscreen at all times , does the exposure time need to be increased ?
@@katniss4670 Allegedly grounding helps. Watched a guy ( I thought was wacko, until it actually made sense) explain how we need a certain spectrum of light in our eyes daily in order for our body to trigger a response that facilitated the absorption and transformation of sun light into vitamin D safely. Every lens from our sunglasses, car windows, home windows filters out this essential spectrum of light. The spectrum is most efficiently absorbed right at sun rise and sun set. Look up breatharians, I don't necessarily believe this 100% , but it makes a lot of sense. I use to need sunglasses, I don't any more and I do not burn. I never wear sunscreen and I work out side every day. I really only wear glasses for safety these days. A diet high in antioxidants helps too. My mom stopped burning when she drank green tea every day.
I mean they are convince.no?so is the ducking car and toilet and heating…no..less wrinkles, and Polaroid lenses on a very bright day are handy.but yes we can do without,we did…
I am fair skinned and use zinc oxide sunblock. People are now harassing me about it, telling me it's going to give me cancer, not the sun. This has just started in the last few years. If skin cancer wasn't connected to sunlight, people would be getting cancer on their butts, but we get it on our face and I know plenty of older people getting little bits of their face sliced off by the dermatologist all the time because they wouldn't use sunblock. I've had a pre cancerous tumor removed from my nose twice, nothing has happened in the places that don't get sun. People are nuts and love telling others what to do, it's like they can't stand to see someone make healthy choices and take care of themselves. Especially if you're poor, you have no right to take care of your health if you're poor in this society. I'm spending money on sunblock, and no one is going to stop me. Go on and call me names, I don't care like I did when I was a kid.
