Can they be grown on east coast inside ? I only get the trees in PR where we love my husband’s parents are native to PR and we visit at least 3 -6 times a yr. I would love to surprise them with a star fruit tree ❤ Ty

I would have bet a hundred bucks that star fruit were from a cactus. I had absolutely no idea they are a tree fruit!!!!! Thank you so much for teaching us all these things.
I grew few plants of ground cherries this year.The yellow are ripe and wonderful.When they fall off bush. I've been told the unripe ones are toxic.Wait till they fall off.Don't trellis them.They are a bush.😊❤
They are called papou in the game, however that's not a real fruit. There is a pawpaw fruit which sounds similar but looks entirely different. A cross section of these starfruit in the video are probably the closest you're going to get.
I know they are good for you. But i don't like then. My father would make them. I think hes the only only one who ate them. But i think its the smooth ones.
