Fuck man, so good to finally hear a satisfying mix of this criminally underrated and underused track. It's among the most violent tracks in the whole game ffs. Incredibly good job as you definitely make the track build-up, progress to different places, give the listener a break, etc. Also, huge kudos on correctly using that bit at 3:54. The double snare hit and synth is amazing as a transition/progression of the previous riff. I believe it was used this way or similarly in the track that lead up to one of the trailer reveal back in early 2020. I was so desperate to listen to that again ! Thanks a LOT !
Okay I can see why ppl like this mix. I'm gonna give my opinion. I kinda didn't like it that much, I mean it's a very good mix but not my cup of tea. I prefer the mix made by JS but I'm gonna give this some praises. The transitions are good and smooth, I like that you added some stuff that I didn't hear in the other mixes, & it ends satisfyingly. My nitpicks are it doesn't start off that strong, a few parts I didn't felt too invested in, & some parts feel forgettable. All in all, this is a great remix I loved it but I prefer JS's mix. Also this needs more views.
Hands down the best mix I've heard of this song. Idk what people's deal is with this song, but they like to get way too experimental lol. Either they repeat one part way too many times, play it too long, have awful transitions or they'll put the fade out in & have it not even be the end of the song lmao. But, this one flows so nice. Also glad you included the synth part at 3:54 in this. It's an absolute travesty & damn near a crime against humanity that that little bit didn't make it into to the OST.
The fact that most mixes of this song are so bad is why I made this one in the first place. Just wanted to make something that encapsulated most of the stems of this song with the best flow possible. Nice to know you enjoyed it, the algorithm never quite got a hold of the track, so I was saddned not to many people got to hear this version.
this song imo suffered a lot from poor "original" mastering with enormous amount of compression in drop part that you cant fix unless you have a source mix, which is effectively unobtainable.
