Awesome video. The 3 green stones are actually to place in the lava pit to create a path to the treasure or you can place them in the back across the lava
I just started piecing together a Defiant. I was convinced I would never own one, but am well on my way. I have a shuttle and booster with almost all the parts; and the crawler body with wheels, and just found a full gantry with doors with only one small crack at a gun location. Having a lot of fun cleaning and restoring it.
I have found either on my own or from others telling me there is a mouse stowaway in the cockpit of the shuttle, several parts of the mold inside the booster on the engine panel that were taken from the plastic model of the Star Wars millennium falcon, several reused joe mold parts as you mentioned but I can’t recall them. I’ll have to look over mine again when I get home from work today. Also the gantry springs are at rest when in launch position so please don’t store it with the lift down or it WILL break off the plastic anchors. The crew designing the gantry asked to be able to make it stronger and hasbro brass denied the request. I’d say it’s the only big time flaw in the whole set. You can convert a crusader to latch on the booster but you have to take out the black plug under the front and install another latch part from the defiant but it will for sure work.
I was 8 years old when I received this for Xmas, and vaguely remember my Dad assembling it. It was great yet painful to watch you separate the parts from the plastic trees! Also cool to see that the throne skull and the gatesurprised there are still so few F of F videos out there, this was informative.
Sorry I missed this episode of Bartertown. My condolences go to Harry and his family and friends. I remember running into him during the shooting of the commercial, and I liked his upbeat, positive vibe. Let Harry's memory live on in our hearts and minds.
Hi i have to say these toy it's the HOLY GRAIL OF ALL HOLY GRAILS ALL ACROSS THE TABLE JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER LINE NOT ONE IT'S BETTER THAN THESE MAGNIFICENT TOY THE TRUE KING 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
well... I can t agree on this. the flagg was more expensive, and more fun too. why? well, it s pretty difficult to simulate space when you play with a toy. unlike the millenum falcon, you cannot land on any planets. I think it was the main flaw of the concept, things float in space, so, it s pretty limited. of course, it was more realistic, especially considering the time. as it was the period of the pinnacle of the real nasa space shuttle. was it a good thing they made this? absolutely! while I had about 85% of the whole collection, I did nt have the flagg or defiant. I just did nt have enough space or money at the time. the main fun someone could have with this is cobra trying to prevent a launch. once in space, there was no real opposition from cobra since they only had space troopers and no ships. the flagg on the other hand, had a lot of possible scenarios. cobra had planes and boats, and it was possible to attempt to board it. but the electronic speaker was a flaw, Hasbro should have invested the money elsewhere on the model, on the empty hull for instance. while it s a little bit of trouble, you can dip the blue parts in hot water to make it more flexible. you can then re insert your cannons. but by now, everybody knows this model is quite fragile. it takes nothing away from being one of the most interesting piece of toy from the period. a true gem and example of why Hasbro is the best toy maker in the world. nothing can touch or even come close to the gigantic size of those pieces. if I ever get lots of money, you can bet I m going to try to have the whole collection again. but I have nothing to complain about, I bought joes from the 1 rst wave in 82, and it was a blast, I had all the other big pieces like the base in 83, the sand crawler, and terror drome. my cobra army matched my joe team and was a real menace. I built my own playsets with cardboard fridge boxes and detailed the interiors. each spring, I just could not wait for the new pieces to hit the shelves. I spent lots of time dreaming over the catalog and figuring how to get it all and tried to build the strongest cobra army to make it dangerous and exciting so that my joes could truly be heroic. but, we grow up, and life changes, I bought a sports car, and could nt afford to continue and had no house to store it all. still, my collection was a testament to what I could achieve if I tried hard enough. like a sport trophy might be to others. today I still carry the joe values in my adult life. courage, duty, and honor! and I don t want to change, I will die a joe! good show!
Anyone in the NY tristate area or farther away who won’t mind driving, who are interested in buying the Defiant I’m in possession of 1 that’s in good shape with only a few smaller pieces missing.
I cannot find one of these anywhere, driving me crazy. Any good groups where I might be able to find a nice one? I'd pay top dollar, been saving for years!!
A perfect creation. Be a huge fan of this thing and two characters not just because they are toys, you can be a big fan of them as a creation. Do your research for artwork ideas. All I want this set complete brought to life in a proper live action G.I. Joe series.
That thing is a beast of a toy from the 80s. Brings back so many memories from my childhood it’s not even funny. Keep up the good work. Also I feel you guys might wanna incorporate some video game reviews. Gladly would love to help out.
Also I love Don Karnage💖💖 He's my favorite and he's so cute here. lol dancing with Baloo in drag who he thinks is some sexy woman or something. XD Aw, Karny really needs a lady wolf love.. ❤ I have someone perfect for him. <3 ☺️
Why is there no recorded videos posted on RU-vid of this Disney on Ice show with the Disney Afternoon characters? 🙁 There's only little commercials of it. I'd love to see it... it sucks that there's not anything on RU-vid of it, because the Plane Crazy show from Disneyland with these characters from that same year is posted on RU-vid. I wish there was a video posted of this Disney on Ice show too. :/
