I planted mine in soil too. I have cut mine from the top and let it root in water, then I plant it into soil. They are so easy to propagate. Mine are also tall.
Hello, thank you for stopping by. To answer your question yes, you can still grow 😀. Basically your veggie plants need 5-6 hours of sunlight. If your balcony is west or south facing you can grow your veggies. Happy gardening 🧑🌾
I just got a lucky bamboo tree it has 3 lil sticks and it’s small I bought it off a a Nice kind Chinese lady and it came in a little glass cup with water and rocks. Can anyone tell me if rocks are good for the plant as well?
I could listen to you talk all day. What a sweet, lovely voice!!! Oh, and thanks for the advice. I have a pothos I need to unpot to check its roots too. Thanks.
Next time u do this remove some of the roots and tease them a little you don't want the roots in the same squashed pot shape I actually will trim a bit of the roots if it looked like this 👍 gives the plant a fresh start just like the branches or leaf's you cut the roots can also be trimmed
our lucky bamboo from my parents are only in water for years and they are growing very good without soil. The leaves are 50 cm long! I dont like soils its dirty and insects in house. I buy it from ikea too and mine growing good too with only water.
@@JR-eo9ie yes spiral bamboo and I chance the water not so often only if is looks dirty maybe all 2 weeks. I also cut off roots after I changed the water. Sometimes it's enough to just add fresh water instead of changing it completely. It's not tap water because of Lime. I put last mouth little bit Fertilizer speziell for Cactus and 4 new offspring grew. Sometimes grow Offspring pretty much at the bottom of the roots, which I cut off.
@@FreePalestine711 so you cut off all the roots completely when you change water? What kind of fertilizer do you add? Just mix it in water? Please clarify. I have a spiral bamboo not growing at all. Little yellowish at the bottom
@@JR-eo9ie Do not cut the roots completely just cut max. 1-2 cm. Bamboo is very easy plant they not need special. Just water and light. If there yellowish why you not change the water?
You should remove the existing soil on your Hoya to see if there’s a node or any root system on that heart. Then repot if there is! If you see none after removing ALL the soil, the leaf won’t grow into a full plant.
Question: I have a scheflerra actinofolia I've had for about 5-6 years first four years or so it grew beautifully. But the last year or so all of the new leaves don't spread out like fans as they normally would. They come out folded back on their stems and stay that way. What is wrong with it and can I remedy the problem?
