Hi all . I’m here to share my daily experience as an approved driving instructor, with learner and experienced drivers as may you find some clips helpful . Sometimes soon I’ll be running mock test in Sheffield and I’ll let you know how I’m going to conduct the test and what you need to do if you would like to take part on tests . So please subscribe the Chanel and like and comment as it would help me to run the test sooner . By the way , if you would like me to make a clip which may help you on your learning progress and test , let me know on comments and I’ll try my best to help you out . I’m based in Sheffield and cover both test centres ( Middlewood and Handsworth ). You can email me if you need any lesson in Sheffield.
He carried on going because you let him go... Shouldn't have stopped but just slowed, people like to test driver's and push their way into traffic.... In some countries this is the norm.
He was half way committed, slammed on his brakes, then thought ”this learner car ain’t moving” so he emerged Learner car stopped because it honestly looked like the red car was gonna go for it
As someone who has never driven in whatever country this is, can someone please explain to me what happened? (And how that very confusing-looking road works?!)
the dual dashed lines infront of the car where the emergency break happened are "give way" lines. meaning whenever you approach them you must slow and check if there are motorists approaching the lane you're joining. This guy did not slow down, and and so when the driver saw the van there wasn't enough time to react and the instructor took over. the give way lines are just as important as "you must" and "you must not", it isn't a suggestion
@natalie6117 yes exactly. If you look at the 11 second mark, top left corner you'll see a sign in the shape of the American yield aswell. This is UK btw Edit: the road also has a triangle on the floor that looks similar to the yield sign's orientation
@@o_noori1943 cool! Thanks for sharing! I love learning this kind of stuff about other cultures! Well, I guess it isn’t really “culture” per se, but just “way of life” I suppose! 😅
Gotcha, we’re allowed to turn right at a red light if clear since we drive on the right, I just assumed it would be the same in the UK, but on the left.
@boinker Yea I wish that was the base but sadly not. Though a lot of us roads are a lot smaller and not as straight so it could be dangerous for us to have that rule. But I did like it when I visited Florida myself. 😊
Stopped on orange? Orange is prepare to stop if the light turns red. So he shouldn't have stopped because he would have made the light had he not changed course because of it.
Nothing wrong with that, so long as you have control, it can be strenuous holding the clutch down for so long, just makes things a little easier on you
*instructor* next set of taffic lights we are turning right, points with pen, these are the first set. *learner* about 20 seconds later approaching secong set then says "SHIT"
1. too fast approach to what is a somewhat complex junction 2. failing to slow down enough to make observations at give way junction 3. not giving way to the van This is a very justified fail.
Took me a couple of times to see that green light. Helps to be familiar with the area before the test so you don't get caught out by those types of lights
its one of those really dumb rules - you have to stop even if the road is completely empty as far as you can see. And to make matters worse - most stop signs are completely wrong in the UK and placed in locations that should not actually have them
