I started yaving that obnoxious chirp a couple months ago from the same location. After watching this video, i checked and both of those trum screws were completely loose and just floating around in there. Ill be relacing these asap, thanks!
Hi, I really like the uniqueness of these shoes and have been looking to buy some like you I really like the fit of the Chuck 70 I have two pairs in a size 9.5 us granted converse fit large what size would u recommend in uk sizing if a us 9.5 in Chuck 70 fit perfecr I also plan to get hightop which is a lot more forgiving with size
Hi Brian. Thanks for the video. I've been thinking about ordering a pair of Novesta's. I first saw them on Cee Are Dee's channel (I'm also in the US). I have the normal chucks in my Brannock size and you're right they do seem to run long. What did you decide to do with yours, keep or exchange sizes? I'd also be interested in an updated video if you still have them. Thanks.
Well you’re very welcome. Umm, I decided to keep them and try to re-sell them. Why? Because the CHEAPEST WAY to send them back, for a partial refund, was going to run me $58. Yeah. No point. So spend $80, then return for $20? No thanks. Poor experience. I’m just holding out for someone who’d like a brand new pair of shoes; who wears a US 12. My loss is their gain.
Yes. Absolutely. Their UK10 is equivalent to a US12. I’m an 11.5. If you live in the US, just add 2 to whatever size they have; and that ought to be dead-on what you’ll want. They’re grossly over-sized.
Excellent video. I’ve actually bought 2 pairs of lightly used novesta lows. One of them was too small so I’m giving it to a family member this summer when I’ll travel to SA. The reason why I’ve bought them is because Converse since been bought by Nike back in the 90’s, changed the old school process of vulcanization. It’s not the same, even with the chuck70s. Novesta uses that process and I wanted to try it for quality and durability. It’s true their sizing is whacky lol - they are definitely wider. If you’d want to try an amazing pair of All Stars, that way Converse meant to be, try finding a Made in USA vintage pair. They are just perfect!
I have this problem also. Cannot figure out what is causing the issue. It just like you mentioned chirping sound only when it’s cold and only when driving over bumps. Hope someone figures this out because I can’t figure it out 😂
Did that fix the squeaking? Cuz mine has the same thing from time to time and I think it's something else. I never took it in for what I was thinking... but I will check under the hood on my Tundra and see if that piece is loose. So did the squeaking go away after you tightened that piece down?
You are the man and a life saver... My truck has been making that sound and it makes me want to pull my hair out everytime I'm in it. I thought the same thing you did on what the problem was. Glad you found the problem. Two thumbs up for you. Great job.
Hey, thanks a lot! Since I’ve replaced those CHEAP POOR EXCUSES FOR FASTENERS, the squeaking has completely gone away. Toyota just cut a corner here BIG TIME. It’s like they first made the holes a certain size and then realized they’d need a specific sized body panel fastener that they didn’t have in their parts bin that’d appropriately fit the hole, and just said, “Ah, Hell with it” and just allocated something that “sorta does the job.” I just tapped in the largest diameter plastic faster I could find that fits very snuggly. If a dealer EVER TELLS YOU THAT IT MIGHT BE HVAC HOSES RUBBING TOGETHER IN THE DASH, please please please do yourself a favor and exhaust this potential problem area first! Don’t let fools screw you over! It might just be a $5 fix!
Hey this is fantastic video, i have same problem usually after off-roading the sound will get worse. Thought it was sound from AC vent. I hit the dash hard everyime I heard this thing. I probably take look at my truck and i will be investigated.
