If anyone is still interested in this in 2023 do NOT buy from Best Buy. Dell has it on their website for $329.99. Best Buy is asking $449.99. When I asked them to price check they said it’s a different model so I reached out to Dell directly and they said Best Buy is wrong. It’s the exact same model. They also have a 10% promo when using “monitor10” on check out
Is it still working and in one piece? Im using a 16 inch laptop screen right now and am questioning as to whether 27 is just far too big up close. Can you see pixellation on a 27? I suppose every screen is different, but perhaps 24 is better for 2K. There are not many higher than 60hz half decent adobe rgb monitors other than what gigabyte offers, although some argue not to bother with adobe accurate monitors and stick to working in srgb
Thank you for your unboxing video! I'm preparing to move so I need to put this monitor back to the box, but I don't know how. Your video really helps alot.
Awesome video as I just got mine today! I got a quick question for you or anyone else that can reply: it seems that my S2721DG came with a screen protector, a film (like those opaque ones we used to use in smartphones) but I'm not sure if that's really a protector and can be removed or if it's the 3H screen coating mentioned in the manual. Does anyone know?
I tried this monitor for 2weeks. Nice picture and response for gaming. But too much eye strain.. After many professional calibrations with this Dell S2721DGF model. I read this particular ips panel can bother eyes for some people. Maybe some users eyes can adjust in time, but not mine. Had to return..
This monitor is very good I’ve bought one for my Series X and it’s looks excellent its clear crisp and colours pop. I previously had a Asus 4K 60hz and the improvement is quite impressive, despite only being 2k it looks much nicer than my old Asus. Brightness and colours are great. I purchased a Samsung G70A 4K 2.1 monitor for £700 and really wasn’t impressed it looked too dark I paid £320 for this monitor and it’s better than the Samsung imo. Absolutely great value for money.
Mine came with out of the box "Gain" colors set at 100% , which killed my eyes for MONTHS, i mean literally within 3-4 hrs my eyes were itchy and bloodshot red, I tried changing color profiles, very low brightness and medium-low contrast. Still no difference. After some searching and stumbling across this video, i lowered "Gain" to 45-50% and my eyes feel a relief now... wow
@@bobmars8771 that's the only reason I find not to buy this monitor ( wanted it mostly for coding, studying and light gaming ). After adjusting "Gain" do you find it easier to stare at the screen for a few hours straight? I saw a lot of people complain about extreme eyestrain and headaches after only a few minutes because of oversaturated colors (mainly red) and 0 solutions to that problem. I really want to order it but I'm afraid my migraines will get worse.
Dell, Msi and Samsung are killing the 2k 165hz-240hz monitors, a lot of people were salty about the glow in the Dell but those are the same people who only seen it from their telephones and not in person and as you said it has a good black as mine, its a very good monitor and its really beautiful and you can find it in a good price too sometimes, thank you for making this video :)
Could be a few things, I would start by checking that your usb cable is plugged in securely from the monitor to your PC and maybe try a different port on PC or a different cable. You can also check if there’s power coming out of the monitor’s USB ports by plugging a device in and see if it charges. Good luck!
I just bought this for £319. After weeks of researching i think this is the best all rounder for me. Very much looking forward to this, especially being my first monitor as well as my first time building my pc
@@deadmanwalking1930 likewise! Bought it a few months ago and couldn’t be happier especially for the price and it’s performance! Good luck building your pc
@@user-ld5wn5hv1v Nice to hear you are still happy with it. As far as the issue goes with Netflix being only1080p which doesn't bother me as don't subscribe and have 4k tv anyway. But, everything is fine right? Like say RU-vid ?
I’m using this monitor for my Xbox Series S and having some blank screen issue occasionally. Seeing many users are having the situation. Do you have the same problem?
Just returned the Acer Predator xb273u gs for this monitor. The acer has ghosting issues when vrr is enabled you cant turn off overdrive coming from the Acer Predator XB273 gx I was disappointed to say the least but I'm happy so far with the dell
Nice! Sorry to hear about the Acer, I had one of their older monitors and it was pretty nice but not as refined in its design. Still, they can be really good bang for the buck displays :)
Hi , thanks for a great review. Just wondering if this monitor is suitable for photo editing? I mainly edit photos using lightroom, photoshop and video (premiere pro). Hope you can give a bit of idea.
Absolutely, you may want to calibrate it for accuracy but the wide gamut makes it pretty versatile for working with photos and video/color correction and grading.
@@PepeDSapiens thank you for that. Without a calibration equipment like SpyderX, can I just do it by tuning the monitor using eyes only 😅, do you any tips or a profile? Thank you
@@justinhoang992 yep! There’s a bunch of reference images you can use to tune it to your liking. Don’t have a profile available right now but if I get mine set up soon I’ll post it. One caveat is the IPS experience in low light environments isn’t super great as far as contrast so keep that in mind ;)
The stand has a hydraulic mechanism, should just be pressure to lower it. I’ve put mine on a monitor arm, which is adjustable for different weights, the stand shouldn’t need adjustment though!
Hello everyone! Thank you again for watching, I've had a few requests for the wallpapers so I put them in a google drive folder for y'all - bit.ly/2Tz7r7f enjoy!

Absolutely. I would recommend a good 60Hz monitor, maybe take the savings to move up to a 4K one (easier on the eyes when you’re reading for extended periods.)
@@PepeDSapiens thanks. I did look at 4k initially but would need at least a 32” to avoid too much scaling and at that size the prices are more expensive than the 27” 1440p monitors 😒
@@p.a8750 ah, that’s fair. If you’re happy with the dpi of 1440p on 27” I would suggest checking out the sets that are 60-90Hz and only run about $150-$250 Dell and LG make a few models. Having said all that, if you’re eventually of doing some video work on it, this might still be a good buy on sale or whatnot.
