I've always liked the way this aircraft looks it has a shark look to it. Really was a well crafted design, too bad the allies didn't develop it. But... It is what it is I suppose...
Very nice, very comprehensive paint job. She really looks good.......but I wouldn't like to fly her at night without a glare shield! I wonder what determined whether they fitted them or not. 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻
When my Grandpa went to work as a civilian technician for Wright field in Dayton. Ohio back in the late twenties or early thirties, the Peashooter was the F-22 of the day. There were still some WW1 aircraft ( Spad's i think) flying at McCook field. Great looking model, thanks for the video!
@@shortcummins Yes, that is what i always heard and read about it. Interesting to me is that it still required flying and static wires to support the wings. That chubby little bugger just wouldn't look right without them!
What a great idea! I like it! Unfortunatly the linen colour is wrong. It should be redbrownish because the linen was doped 8 times and then doped a final time with silverdope. Even the "doghouse" was covered with linnen to strenghen the wood structure. But anyways, real cool idea!🙂
Thanks Gary, the nice thing about Corsairs is that you can't "over weather" them as thy really got beat up. I wanted to "play" with two types of primer, salmon and zinc chromate under the blue, I'm really happy with my results
unfortunately I don't have a video set up, hopefully I will have in the not too distant future, and then I'll be able to show with more than still images
