Hi, thanks for asking. I've just been pretty busy. My husband lost his job as a contractor (software engineer) so I've been trying to find a second one to support the family. It's hard to find the time to paint anymore. I had one that I was working on, but just haven't picked it back up since I started it. Maybe one day when he finds work I can paint again.
Michelle, I just love watching your videos, but there is one thing that I wanted to ask about…….is there something different with your lighting or your camera settings that makes the color of your paint so different from when you are creating the design compared to when you do your final review? I ask because, to be very honest, while you are painting your design, the colors aren’t as vibrant as they are in the end. Please don’t take this question and my thoughts in a negative way. I only bring it up because I think if there’s a way to improve the view of the colors while videoing, it may bring in more viewers for you. Also, please know that I have never videoed myself painting so I’m clueless to the whole process, and I have nothing but total respect and appreciation to you and others that take the time to do all that you do❤️❤️. I have a handful of people I subscribe to and I try to watch all of their videos (you are included in that handful) and as a viewer, I just want to be helpful, if possible, from a viewers perspective. I love this design and pattern and am looking forward to your next one 😊
That's a good question honestly. I do use fairly natural room lighting to paint by. I used to paint in a light box but it just seemed like the colors were getting washed out, so I started to just use the room light. But then I take the final picture in that light box. I think it has something to do with how the paint reflects the light. I'll try to experiment with the lighting and the angle of the camera to see if I can get a better image. I want to thank you for bringing it to my attention. Any and all critiques welcome. 😊
There's no pattern but you can slow down the video to see how I do it. You should be able to see the entire pattern before I put the paint down. For colors, I used the ones listed and then just added the darker to the lighter to make the in-between colors. No other colors were used but the 4 listed. If I get a pattern for it, I'll email it to you.
This is the most artful and stunning mandala Ive ever seen. The thought process and focus is phenominal. This design style could definitely become your signature. Would love to see more of the "cut-out" style mandalas. Just stunning!❤❤❤❤
