Tim Duncan was the most underrated player in the NBA, even during his peak years. He'd put up 40 points, 15 boards, 6 or 7 assists, 3 or 4 blocks, and a couple of steals, and even if you were watching the game, you'd hardly know it until you looked at the box score. He's my favorite player of all-time, but I would never say that he's the greatest of all-time. Calling him the best player of his generation, however, is a fair opinion and is difficult to argue against. The only thing that worked against him was his own natural personality. Calm, cool, collected, completely professional, and a no-nonsense attitude. That's not a bad way to be, but that perceived lack of charisma is why he has always flown under the radar to anyone outside of the diehard NBA basketball fans.

Some pretty sad takes on both sides here. International ball was decent in the 90s but exploded because of Dream Team. Nba execs had a HUGE bias against euros which was clearly proven wrong. Yes, offensive skill has evolved but defence has softened and boxing out no longer exists. The match up would be fascinating and would be close as hell. And stop saying magic cant guard curry. It is a fact, which is why curry would be hounded by pippen and stockton. Dream Team is a far better defensive squad than 24. 24 has better shooting but its over stated. Mullin, stockton and barkley all shot over 50 from 3 in 92 and pippen was just under 40.

The 2024 team definitely has more talent and would beat this 92 team in 5 or 6 in a 7 game series. The difference between these teams is the level of talent they went up against. Foreign teams today are loaded with world class talent. Teams in 1992 consisted of a few pros along with the coaches nephews friend who worked on the farm, but occasionally played basketball 😀
It’s hard to say for sure as this is all speculation. But no doubt who is the overall most talented team - Dream Team for sure (even with Christian Laettner). It’s not even close. Just count the number of HOFs. Some of the things this guy says in here tells me he is a young person who under rates the older generation and over rates the current one. That's not the point, in 1992 there were 12 players who made it to the NBA at some point across all other teams, some of which didn't even play against the Dream Team iirc, meanwhile the 2024 Olympics had 69 players with NBA experience who weren't playing for the US, 28 of which were part of the teams that played against the US, heck the USA team faced 14 players with NBA experience just between France and Serbia. It's an undeniable fact that the overall level of the competition was astronomically better than what the Dream Team faced.

More Iconic is the Dream Team no doubt but The 2024 team is by far superior in talent and it’s not close which is pretty crazy considering the Dream Team roster. This team had AD, Ant, Booker, Embiid and Tatum! Also people forget Kawhi was supposed to be on this roster too! Even the “Role Players” on this roster like Holliday and Adebayo are phenomenal players in their own right. And if that wasn’t enough to top it all off they were led by the greatest Shooter the game has ever seen: Steph Curry, the greatest Guard in the modern era: Kevin Durant and the most complete player of all time, one of the greatest to ever step onto the court and possibly the greatest to ever do it: LeBron James. That is how good the 2024 aka “The Supreme Team” is 😂
Everyone note this !! I have Team 2024 barely edging out The Dream Team. However, if the The Dream Team has Dennis Rodman, I would give The Dream Team the edge. Only Rodman could guard Steph Curry when he is hot. GOD gift of shooting vs. GOD gift of defense. Else Curry is going to embarrass folks when super hot. The 92 team wins because of 4 things DEFENSE both PERIMETER AND INTERIOR.. INTERIOR SCORING (for real, Embiid is checking Ewing, Robinson or Karl Malone?) CHEMISTRY, with Players like Larry Bird (broke back and all) and Magic on your team, EVEN MICHAEL JORDAN listens to them and falls in line.. These guys checked their egos and last, MICHAEL JORDAN.. along with Larry Bird (who dont gotta play the entire game, just gotta be there for the last shot), the two most CLUTCH players in history.. they even shot 3 pointers, Chris Mullin, Stockton, and Larry bird (broke back and all was STILL a GREAT spot up 3)

92 dream teams defense would be too much for 2024 team , and they wouldn’t be able to score in the paint against dream team , so if there 3s aren’t hitting , they losing big time .
