Ich bin vorgestern diese Straße von Ponta Delgada gelaufen, allerdings musste ich leider kurz nach dem Tunnel umdrehen, weil alles mit riesigen Felsbrocken verschüttet und mit dichten Pflanzen zugewachsen ist. Die Natur holt dich alles wieder zurück!
This road is now abandoned. Today I took some beautiful videos with a drone of it. The road is now not his tclosed, but it is impossible to drive on it.
@Porcupine there is a very small path between the stones and plants, so yes but quite dangerous due to falling rock. ( I have been at the beginning and they came down twice within about half an hour)
Fantastico!! Sou muito favoravel ao progresso....mas nada como experienciar dar a volta na Ilha pelas Estradas Velhas e se maravilhar com as Paisagens que ela nos oferece. Ja passei muitas vezes por esta do Video. Verdade que fica-se um tanto "apreensivos"... mas de maneira geral, tudo sempre corre bem. Ha respeito envolvido por quem desce e por quem sobe. Amo a minha Terra Natal, embora tenha vivido nela apenas ate os meus tres meses de vida.....portanto, ela nem me viu crescer. So fui conhece-la depois de adulta!. @@IsaMGFaria 1º - 25 de dezembro de 2020 foi há 2 anos atrás?! Não, foi há pouco mais de um. O Natal de 2021 foi há 10 dias! 2º - Devido às chuvadas, toda a encosta derrubou por cima da estrada. É possível ainda andar por esta a pé, por um caminho estreito na borda entre o desmoronamento e a encosta, mas andar com o carro é impossível. Mesmo andar a pé é bastante perigoso, pois há o risco de a própria estrada desmoronar e ninguém vai ajudar pois encontra-se abandonada. 3º - Não há nenhum interesse em recuperar a estrada quando literalmente existe uma estrada gratuita ao lado e bem mais segura, inaugurada em 2017. Ainda se pode ir até ao Miradouro desde Boaventura, mas depois disso é missão suicida.

E quanto ao expos sobre as consequencias/condicoes da estrada, vc esta certissimo. Minha reacao ao comentar foi tola (e levada por sentimento). Ora...ja passei varias vezes ai....mas, ha quantos anos atras? (embora, eu e tanta gente experienciasse sensacoes das quais nao nos esquecemos, principalmente os que vivem fora da Madeira. (eu, sendo filha da terra..... nela fui apenas vistante). Lendo atenciosamente o teu comentario, dou Gracas a DEUS que nao liberem mesmo a estrada, porque melhor e prudente eh a Seguranca. We were in Madeira last year 2020 Feb. We went on a trip and saw some of the old roads but they are now almost all closed for safety reasons with a new road built to replace them.
@@PachecoFjf The road closed due to the huge storm in Christmas 2020 in that area. Thankfully there is a safe alternative to the south, inaugurated in 2017.
Ahhhh i still remmember the very 1st day i drove on this road lol, 18 years old, with a brand new drivers licence and i get a frikking Bus coming my way right after exiting the tunnel, it was quite fun lol i almost got out of the car and went home on foot .....
@@torehaaland6921 It is a regional road that was open until Christmas 2020, when a storm closed it forever. It is still possible to go to the viewpoint, but after that it's almost impossible...
I was confused at first, associating "Ponta Delgada" with the Azores. But yep, there it is. North coast of Madeira. You can follow this on Google Maps as well.
Wonderful island. We were there in 1990 and went along this road in a coach. The occasional ragged gaps through the wall were rather daunting, but my husband thought that journey must be the best cure for constipation known to man!
Driving in Madeira is one of the best things in that island. If it wasnt for the amount of corruption and inflation in Madeira, it would be one of the best places on the planet to live
Ever read "Madeira: The Floaring Dungheap", by Peter Roy? He wrote about the corruption on the island. Always wondered if there was something to that. Superficially beautiful, but a dark underbelly. Or so he wrote.
If you want to see change, you have to be the change! Portuguese moan too much and like blaming everybody else for their problems. I’m Portuguese! We are our government! If we have a mediocre government, that’s because the vast majority of people have mediocre values!

Obviously, Madeira is a very good place to live. it has an excellent climate, extremely friendly people. and many other things that many people lack: education.

Boas amigo. Tenho uma yz125 de 2001...fiquei sem embraigem.. Ou seja a manete ficou solta.. Até pensei que fosse o cabo que arrebentou mas quando vou a ver esta tudo no sitio so simplesmente não dá para acionar a embraigem... Ainda consegui vir para casa sem embraigem...o que será.. Molas? Partidas... Ou tenho que meter uma embraigem nova?
@@marciosilva6737 quando a embraiagem cola fica assim. Experimenta fazer o que te disse. Mas o normal de colar é pelo fato de estar parada muito tempo. O que nao foi o caso
Es gibt zwar derartige Straßen-Abschnitte die man befahren kann ; auf denen aber durch Schilder auf die Gefahren hingewiesen wird; parallel dazu führt die gesamten Küstenabschnitte entlang eine einzigartig ausgeführte Küsten-Straße mit einer Vielzahl von bestens ausgebauten Tunnels. Die Einzelnen Tunnels sind bis zu 3000m lang bestens beleuchtet, zweispurig ausgestattet mit Notrufsäulen, Löschanlagen, Parkbuchten und Fluchttüren. Die maximal zulässige ausgeschilderte Fahrgeschwindigkeit im Tunnel beträgt 80 kmh, Die Fahrgeschwindigkeit an der Tunnel Einfahrt sowie Ausfahrt ist auf 50 kmh Fahrgeschwindigkeit eingeschränkt und mit Ampeln versehen. So sieht die Realität im März 2019 aus; Gute Fahrt.
Hallo, sind wie ich im Video gesehen habe, sind die Straßen besser ausgebaut worden ? Möchte dort ein Mietwagen nehmen, aber so eng wie die Straßen da sind, ist echt zu bedenken ob man da fahren soll.
Ana PAULA Luis Oliveira sim é bem verdade o que diz. Neste caso existe o perigo de derrocada...todas as estradas com estas características, na Madeira, estão a ser encerradas e substituídas por túneis... obrigado pelo comentário.
Diga-me isso quando estiver a conduzir numa zona mais estreita da estrada levar com um autocarro no sentido contrario e ter de fazer 40 ou 50 metros em marcha atraz sem consegir ver o murete.......
@@TheAquarius1978 Tem a estradalá por cima, mas mais longa, para evitar justamente esta daqui, que é um atalho. agora também já abriram as vias rápidas, tem tuneis e pode ir por lá, se estiver com pressa. por aqui só vai quem quer ter vistas mais bonitas, mesmo assim já se fecharam muitas estradas como esta. poupa-se muito tempo se estiver com pressa :D
