Salt N Pepper Gaming is your new go to gaming channel on RU-vid. We discuss, preview and review all things gaming, from the old days of Atari and Nintendo to the current gen consoles.
I just got it on sale for 7 dollars 😮 ive had a blast with it so far, but i couldnt imagine paying 60$ for a short arcade game. But for 7 dollars i got my moneys worth just to see the whole narrative thru. I would have paid 20$+ making it all the way thru at an arcade 😅
I hate them too but these days it’s tough to get what you want physically plus I got a small house and totes full of games so past few years I take advantage of the digital collection I have obtained.I don’t ever play online so…Online gaming ruined gaming anyhow. You can just keep ‘em on a memory extension and have em forever.
My entire gaming collection is digital, but not that digital. I have multiple gaming emulators and roms that I play on my laptop. They are not connected to a server except for my PS2 and Nintendo GameCube (Dolphin) emulators that require updating sometimes. But my games are actually mine. I can play them anytime I want. I have emulators from Atari 2600 to PlayStation 2. I also have a few stand alone games too that don't require a server connection. So, I'm good.
I double dip on my games, I buy digital if I don't want to open my Limited/Collectors edition games that are too pricy now, or the game is a beat-em-up which is good for pick-up & play although I have a physical copy..
I always get physical copy game on launch day because I have to get some respect for customer from the video game store & Nintendo company as well & my dad got digital copy on holiday season & i kept them separate & i finished them first & then move on to a different game so i don’t have to go back them again
I'm just gonna be honest I would rather buy digital games because physical games would be a pain when it comes to keeping them I get tempted to sell literally everything the greatest thing about Digital is you will always own the game literally as long as you have a specific console for Nintendo it's way different if anything Nintendo has the best digital offers
Digital and physical games both have their positives and negatives. Currently I buy games both digitally and physically. But when I eventually run out of space (I sadly don't have that much space) I might have no other option but buy digital games. Or I'd have to sell some physical games. But I think every collector will eventually experience a lack of space. That's just how it is. This can also happen with digital games though. Hopefully physical games will never go away though. There's just something special to them, that digital games just lack.
Been slightly interested in playing Taiko no Tatsujin for some time. Though you can play the games on switch without the drum, it looks like it's much more fun with one.
One of my favorite games OnRush is no longer on psn store or Microsoft store I bought it on psn store then unfortunately the servers went offline and the game disappeared on those stores and didn’t receive a refund but luckily I already had a disc version of the game on ps4 I used to collect digital but when that happened I switched back to physical games
I hadn't fully thought about that yet. I've always that it was shitty that these new consoles are releasing collector editions of their console that traditional are designed and modified to represent some big title video game, of which will come with the console, but the game is merely a code to download a copy of it. Sure, perhaps the console is can actually be considered a collector's edition, but not the game. There is no physical copy of the game to be considered collectible!!! Surely the scratch off ticket with the code isn't the collectible aspect of the game, and even if you get downloadable content that is only available with the collector's edition, I don't consider that being collectible. Even for the collectible editions of game that lack a matching console, surely won't exist anymore if everything is all digital. These is pure greed on the manufacturer's end trying to maximize their bottom line. Don't get graped by buying all digital consoles!!!
2:48 I feel the same way, DVDs are really that old??? I still use DVD Shrink freeware to . . . um . . . ah . . . to make backup copies of the DVDs I own! Then, in one corner of my living room are stacks and stacks of VHS cassettes, that's what I grew up with, although I can recall when we didn't even have cable television, and yes, I do remember when Music Television actually played music videos! All digital console gaming is just the result of megacorporation's unquenchable thirst for maximizing profits. They want this for their benefit, not ours. With digital gaming, you will be purchasing products which you do not technically own, and the companies that sold you those games, can steal it back from you at any time they so desire! For those of us who realize the detrimental aspects of an all digital home gaming console, the solution is simple, just don't buy them!!! However, the youth will make this difficult, for their desire to game will be stronger than any realization or awareness they may have concerning this situation. Regardless, companies have already begun to steal games back from gamers, and we are not yet fully digital.
Around 90% of my games are digital games. Most of the time, they’re cheaper in the Eshop, especially on Sale. They are always there, I can’t lose them. The game „Vigil the longest night“ is not available anymore in the Eshop BUT i bought the game before and even though, it’s not available in the Eshop, i can still redownload and play it.
I usually only buy digital games if they’re indie or cheaper than a physical release. I would be more likely to go digital for some games if I knew for sure that that purchase will carry over across future console generations, but until then I still buy physical if I can
Thanks for watching mate! hahah a fine line for sure - I think I have crossed it though haha...youtuber of the month nomination? didn't even see that - thanks so much
I bought some games digitally because they were on sale on the PS store (less than 20$) and a few of them I don't think I will play. All in all probably less than 50$ BUT, if I managed to find used copies of these in the first place (though harder as they aren't AAA titles), I could've sold them at no or less of a loss. Win some lose some.
I buy both physical & digital, however 100% prefer physical. I'm slowly moving more towards physical/cartridges only. Naturally I can't resist the odd heavily discounted digital game and if its a keeper, will eventually get the physical/cartridge version. Two small problems with some physical/cartridge games are:- 1. Shops appear to have very limited stock and only sell more recently releases or stable titles and this leaves you to hunt around trying to buy on the internet. 2. Some cartridges like Boarderlands 3 require you to download the bulk of the game meaning that the cartridge is a form of download key - bizarre!
Yeah I think it's a great idea to buy digital games. You support the game development. It makes less trash and helps the environment, you can back up your games on hard drives which means you can actually own a physical form of it. It's really a lot better and way more convenient. Remember All games are actually digital they just load them into a CD, the CD is actually trash essentially. when you're older and want to reply those games you remember I guarantee you won't give a sht about a dvr or whatever old format was being used back in 2024 hahaha
I’m currently going through the process of shopping for physical copies of JRPGs and other games I bought digitally as a little side project (so long as I can get them at a fair price). Smaller indie games or games for like $10 are fine, but I’m getting more worried about actually owning my games. I still have old ps2 and GameCube games that I play and work like a charm to this day. I want to be able to say the same about my PS5 and Switch library.
I lost plants vs zombies for the xbox 360 because I had a digital one and I don't have the xbox anymore it was very sad but I do plan on getting a disc for the game but I don't know if I should get it becase I already beat the game a lot of times and am only missing 2 very difficult achievments that can take me days to get and would be to much work to get
Funny thing is we both are into rock 🤘🏼 I play guitar and my brother drums! I don’t know why we have that as our song - pavs my bro is the editor haha - might need a change - thanks for watching ✌🏼
*I've only ever been a fan of physical for the Artwork 🕵 but usually when I have a physical case and disc, there's something inside me that just wants to get rid of it* 💁
I'm thrilled to have joined your channel today! In the past, I've lost numerous hours of work associated with my games from previous years. I plan to collect again.
I'm mostly a Physical copy guy because Digital is stupid and a bad idea because 1 if someone pays for a game that they play for a while then changing their mind Thne they are OUT OF LUCK 2 you can't get money back 3 You can't trade anything in for a different game and lastly you're stuck with it so yeah DIGITAL SO STUPID
