The wife tells me you should have had the safety chain still on.... Not he first I've seen on the Hervey bay ramp, the last one was as big, the "boys" just skull dragged it down the ramp
Awesome Alex. We fish for everything from Marlin to Squid but one thing we all have in common is our love for the humble Luderick, it's a great all rounder and there is no where better to be than on the stones catching them. Most of my crew cut their teeth at places like the "murk" Mattens, Rosa Gully etc etc fishing for Luderick, Bream, Pigs and also live baiting for jew and kings. What you learn from fishing these places and these fish lays the foundation for everything else you will eventually target, and that includes Trout too. Love your work.
Seems very Suss that it ends the way it does Seems like Mark wasn’t going to award him the prize but may have been pressured into doing so ? ! Very disappointed if that’s the case
I live in Japan and here I think they are called Mejina. The reason I’m not 100% sure is that we burley and bait with Antarctic krill whereas Professor Alex is using weed. The last time I went Mejina fishing I stopped counting at around 26 fish within 2 hours. I took 6 fish home and released the rest. Here the fish are around 26cm and probably a whisker shy of 1 kg. I really love rock fishing and its my dream to somehow get down to Sydney and take one of Alex’s guided fishing trips.
What a brilliant video great content and super tips well done Alex and team, Alex what footwear were you wearing looked like a combination of aqua shoes and cleats what brand were you using? do you find this setup best for rock fishing in terms of safety and comfort
For estuary fishing Parramatta River weed is deadly for Luderick ! Works in so many waterways all the way up the north Coast of NSW. Luderick or Girella tricuspidata are in the same family as Drummer or Girella undulata. Love fishing for them. An old Luderick magnet told me quite a few years ago, you learn to fish for blackfish it will teach you a lot about catching other fish. He's so right. Sometimes blackfish will lift up the float. Brisbane Waters Woy Woy great memories of blackfish fishing. May through to June I try live green nippers big brute Luderick love these !
Hey you, thanks Simon, got what's sort of half way,. Can't thank you enough for the future you and friends created have made for use. Marcus AKA WILD-HOUR193 PS. AND HEALEDZERO, MICROSOFT .
Thanks, nice video. It made me think its how quick and easy to kill a tree, where as there is no way in hell we can build this much tree in 1 year. Our capacity to destroy, has given us this illusion of ownership and power around everything that we can destroy....Just a thought. I can understand the usage as needed but now we have made a game out of this. Wow...Humans. They are supposed to take care of all living things around them with higher intelligence and just like a bad babysitter they made a big mess.
Aspen/poplar can easily grow a few feet a year. This is sustainably harvested poplar from a stand of wood specifically for competitions, and the remaining wood is used for biofuel. Timbersports has no net negative impact on the environment, especially when compared to other sports.
