We are a Magic the Gathering gameplay RU-vid channel focusing on Commander(EDH) with an emphasis on cEDH played in a relaxed setting. We try our best but often look like amateurs :)
Talion is a control deck with more instants/sorceries than anything else, so the value of being able to copy any number of a host of spells on top of the value from the impulse draw off of her 2nd trigger was far more valuable for me at the time. Don't much care about bowmasters - I can win quite easily regardless of it. More importantly is that Stella needs to either never stick on the battlefield or stay out of the control of her owner. Additionally, Stella can win over the top of a bowmasters with a single blue mana in the case of cards like Borne Upon a Wind or Quicken. Also counterspells exist for the bowmasters if I *really* thought it was a problem.
I run a lot of colorless pip cards in my list. Having vault helps me cast Nanogene, Talion, Roaming Throne, spark double, Sakashima, and many others. I'd like to take a look at your list if you have it available. Thank you!
I'm newer so sorry if totally wrong but when Stella untapped with shore up. Could you not have tapped her again targeting the earlier crimson wisps and then just hit that line of drawing out full deck again? Or was that stopped with the bow masters on the board. Not sure what the wincon for the Stella deck is once she's drew the deck if possible to win before the bowmasters resolve.
They're just cast, not at instant speed. Guessing that the confusion stems from the delay not in graveyard. The delay resolved, it just wasn't set in graveyard because it was a moot point.
My pod at my lgs has been complaining about me putting in infinites in my Stella deck and I kept telling them "it's not that bad" but now I see just how bad it is and how easy it is. This video is making me swear off Stella Lee until I can find a way to not make her absolutely ridiculous
She can definitely be made crazy powerful with not a ton of expensive cards. I'm sure she would still be a blast at casual tables if you tune her down. Wild Card All Day!!! YEE-HAW!!!!!
I know that Kinnan was going to win on his next turn, but that was some good politicking to avoid getting pinged by Stella early. To be honest I think I still would have targeted Stella first, because that would potentially force a different line out of the Stella player in order to make sure Bowmasters could still kill Kinnan and prevent a win that turn. I'm still pretty new to cEDH but I think that's how I would have played it. Great game though!
Maybe I’m wrong but wouldn’t the spirebluff enter tapped because there were 3 lands when it entered or have I just been reading/playing the card wrong ?
It enters tapped unless you control two or fewer other lands. It was the third land controlled when it entered. So it sees only two other lands and is therefore untapped.
