With its tranquil landscapes, central location, sunny weather and low cost of living, Ocala, Florida is fast becoming the choice place to live. Here, lifestyle and location combine to offer residents the very best in community and active adult living.
Stay away. Construction quality is absolutely awful, and the "maintenance free" long leaf ridge community is a joke. They spend 3 minutes ripping up your supposed "lawn" and edging is none existent. We have close friends qho bought/closed 4 months ago and are already trying to sell this overpriced tract house with total crap quality all over the place. They have submitted 22 complaints about issues and everyday someone has yo come back and repair them under "warranty".... Really, over $500,000 spent on this craphole, and we have this many issues after 4 months?? Run, literally Run from this awful place.. The advertising does NOT match the reality. Other homeowners are also angry at the total lack of quality/caring in this place.. Proceed at your own risk..
King size bed does not fit , I should know I have the Brighten and we had to take out my nightstand on the window side. Tried all sort of ways to fit the bed and nightstand. Your better off buying the Wisteria.
On Top of the World has smaller homes, too. There is a great variety of sizes to choose from. And they are pet friendly with multiple dog parks. We LOVE it here!! ❤
The layout is ok but lack of pot drawers, single sink and too dark cabinets make the kitchen a no-no. No bath tub in the master bath. No fence….is this a “no pet” community? I could fix those issues if the price was around $250k.
Beautiful homes, but on top of the world keeps forgetting that older Americans don't need 2,200 square feet of living space. They need smaller homes 🏡 that are more reasonable priced. 😊 400 to 600 hundred thousand for a home is insane
As the owner of a Magnolia ("Maggie") in OTOW Longleaf Ridge 4, I can say that it is an amazing floorplan! Many options available, including bumping out the great room, and converting the golf cart garage into a workshop. No matter what you choose, the "Maggie" is a fantastic floorplan, and we are happy to have chosen it!
Agree, and no wasted space such as Formal 'Dining Rooms', or multiple cramped "bedrooms". That was ok for my parents, but not for us. The Mag is a genuinely MODERN Home, fully functional, and creates a place where every inch is used. The 1/2 bath is also a fabulous addition, seriously why would anyone NOT have this? We LOVE the Maggie, its the perfect home for the modern retiree in our opinion. It also happens to have the best curb appeal with the golf cart garage producing a more pleasing aesthetic and architectural interest from the street. The best floorplan by far in OTOW, not even close, and we studied them all, closely before we decided. Love the MAGGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why did you walk past the pantry doors twice without even showing it? Master Shower? Price? (I notice OTOW does not seem to seem to answer any comments)
I’m in love with the Magnolia! You finally got the memo about pot drawers. We boomers can’t be bending down to dig a pot and lid out. Love the single stainless kitchen sink. Spacious rooms and curb appeal. The only thing I’d change would be the dark cabinets. They’re beautiful but I’m a lighter cabinet gal. Thank you!
Not sure about this move-in ready home, but here is a link to prices of the "Premiere" series homes from their web site: ontopoftheworldcommunities.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/OTOW-13683-NHS-Longleaf-Ridge-Price-Sheet-Premier-Mar-2023.pdf
@sandramercurio9116 Maybe because it was a model with upgrades? PS: 500,000 is really nothing to write home about in terms of price, that's just an average home by todays standard. And Its "Candler Hills, not Chandler Hills". You're an actual resident?🤔
Welcome! Kelly, Zach & Scott were our reps as well. Outstanding communications! Building in LLR4 was a fantastic experience, and we're happy to call OTOW our home!
With my retirement less than five years away , so far it's a toss-up between OTOW and The Villages. But for me the deal-breaker is the debacle that is Florida's homeowners insurance. Hopefully some legislation or organization will resolve this.
