DWX runs supreme: flat, fast, and accurate w/o a comp or ports for under 3000 this probably includes a optic. A great option if you win the lottery or have a lot of money to buy a ATLAS

You will enjoy your 627. I use my own handloads. I take 38 special brass and trim it to .900 (about 38super cartridge length) It loads and ejects easier and faster. 147gr Blue Bullets, Federal primers, and enough Titegroup to make ~135PF. I have heard of some people using 38 Colt brass and even 38 Short Colt. And of course, you can use 38 special and 357 magnum.
Thank you. I'm glad yours shot nice. The trigger on my DWX was garbage! It was an embarrassment to all 1911-style ignition systems. It was sticky and gave a false reset. Also, the disconnector restricted the slide worse than on a 5" Prodigy.
@@kynansutter3445I have problems with my front site wanting to walk around. Just used some loctite on it we will see if it holds. And lots of vertical movement in my extractor pin.
I feel the pistol's components are decent enough, the problem is with the final assembly and function testing. On mine, I fit the disco and replaces the sear spring. It seems to be running fine for now.
Good shooting! How is your Canik Rival S? Do you have the newest iteration, when did you bought it? I have been on the fence of buying one lol, but I would like to know who they are performing.
I am not sure of the manufactuer date. It was a recent internet purchase. I did a couple of adjustment to make the gun more reliable. I have competed in two matches so far without any malfunction. I can't recommend it yet, but so far I am enjoying the Rival S. Time will tell
@@kynansutter3445if I may ask, what did you adjust? I recently picked one up and intend on running it in some club matches. I ran it yesterday and had two ftf out of the 250 rounds I put through it. I’m using some super vel certified select 115 that I had already complained to super vel about the condor some of the rounds, so I assume the feed issues were ammo related.
@@derrickburnett8703 Before I purchased the gun I was aware of the possible issues people were having with the Cank. The first magazine had both FTF and FTE malfunctions. The failure to eject problem I trimmed down a Shadow 2 extra power ejector spring, about one coil, and used it in place of the factory spring. Failure to feed malfunction I opened up the front of the feed lips to around .363. I am using Henning extended base pads specifically for the Canic Rival S. It has been running fine so far. When you are trimming down the ejector spring, keep testing with a 9mm case to make sure it will slip past the extractor and not be too tight.
Each stage has a WSB Written Stage Briefing explaining the start positon, the pistol ready conditon along with round count, target styles and anything needed to know to complete the stage. The magority of the WBSs finish by saying engage targets as they beome visable within the shooting area. That leaves the order you shoot the targes up to you. Your skill level and pistol division will help dictate the way you shoot a stage. That is part of the fun and challenge of USPSA.
I like my 92x over my Shadow 2 orange. THOUGH... I haven't even attempted to play with the different recoil springs and trigger springs that came with the Shadow. Mostly because CZ's takedown is terrible.
How do these models compare to each other, and to their non-bull counterparts (if you have shot them)?: 75 Bull Shadow SP-01 Bull Shadow I shot a 75, P-01, SP-01, and Shadow 2 and my favorite was the SP-01. My friend’s Shadow 2 feels front heavy to me, so for CO I’m considering either the SP-01 Shadow, or the Bulls that I listed above. Curious to hear your thoughts
My Bull Shadow is a converted Shadow 2. You are correct about being front-heavy. The bull barrel has better lockup and heavier non-reciprocating mass than the S2. I'm running LOK Brass grips and it really helps the balance but it weighs just under 54oz unloaded. My first CZ was a 75 SP-01. Next was a 75 SP-01 Shadow (Shadow 1). I still have the SP-01 Shadow if that means anything to you. Either way, you go, I guarantee you are NOT going to hate it. S1 is lighter with better balance. The S2 is heavy but also a little easier to steady at a distance and softer shooting.
@@kynansutter3445 thanks! I’m quite recoil sensitive so I’m still deciding. For the 75 Bull Shadow, the combination of a short dust cover frame paired with a bull barrel really interests me. I wonder what the balance of that feels like
Both guns are very accurate. Out of the box, the CZ has a way better trigger whereas the Tanfo needs a lot of polishing. I do like the Tanfo DA better because it has a shorter pull. The balance of the Stock 2 is better than the nose-heavy Shadow 2 and the hard chrome is very sexy.
Both guns feel great. The felt recoil in the hand is a little bit sharper with the Staccato because of the steel grip but still super pleasant to shoot.
Thank you. The gun is awesome. I should have double-checked the mags I tuned before the match. I like to learn the hard way I guess. My Staccato started life as an iron sight. I sent my slide to C&H Precision. They milled it and made a custom plate that uses their cross pattern that fits the Rome 3XL. So far I am very pleased with their work.
@Kynan Sutter awesome dude, yeah I enjoyed the P I owned, I kick myself every now and again for getting rid of it. Good to C&H can do that! I appreciate the Info
Sorry, I dont keep up on all of the IDPA rules. What I looked up after reading your question said nothing about slide cuts being a non legal modification. I also read factory installed comps are legal. That sounds really cool! I would get a second opinion before making any slide cuts, just to be sure.
Dude I’m looking at this gun for carry optics. Is it worth the money to get the optic ready one from cz custom if i already have a Cajun Shadow 2. I’m really digging this gun with the bull barrel.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment. This gun started life as a Shadow 2. I wanted a bull barrel CZ but did not care for the grip on the AO1 LD.. probably because I was familiar with the Shadow 2. I sent the gun to CZ Customs to have the Bull Shadow upper fitted and cut for the CZC RDS plates. I went this route because of the many RDS plate options and if I wanted to go back to irons, CZC offers a fixed rear sight plate as well. I am not going to be the one to tell you not to buy the optics-ready Shadow 2. If it is in your budget, go for it. The least expensive option would be to have your existing slide cut for an optic. If you want the bull barrel....do what I did and talk to CZ Customs. All of the prices should be on their website. My gun is a little on the hefty side, but it is a lot of fun to shoot. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Great timing for your question. I just switched it back to the factory curved trigger. The reason is, starting in double action, the reach is a little too long for me to get good leverage on the trigger. In single action, the trigger was about perfect. I was able to easily pull the trigger straight to the rear. I might revisit the flat trigger after doing some comparison between the two.
Have had this pistol a few years now and loved it so much that I bought the CZ P-01 . The 97 I had gotten some after market mags and for some reason when I swap to them they activate the slide soon as it bottoms out . Obviously the factory mags do not do that . Ever run into that ?
I have only used CZ & Tanfoglio magazines. My 97, In slide lock, with a fully loaded magazine seated firmly will cause the slide to release without manipulation or by hitting the slide lock/release lever. This is the same whether using the CZ or Tanfo mags. My Shadow 2 and Shadow 1 react the same way. In my opinion, this is not a bad thing because if you are on the clock it saves time on the reload. I hope this helps with your question.
@@shaolinwarriormark All Cajun internals along with front and rear sight. Extended mag release and safety from CZ Custom. CZ Custom magwell and base pads. Extended base pads are Henning and of course LOK Grips.
Thank you. The Tanfoglio K45 mags will work and are the same as the CZ with different markings. The picture shows a Tanfo mag with a Henning ext base pad giving total capacity of twelve.
Thanks for the Videos.... Quick question, I have a 92X Performance. I seems like you milled the optic on the slide, is there a way of getting a dovetail plate or another way of mounting an optic?
I would say it was a very mediocre shooting. Accuracy was OK but with the shooting speed, especially on close distances, there is a lot to improve. Having watched some of your recent videos you've done much better with the use of optics indicating solid progress, so good job with that.. Generally speaking, nice videos.
So I have a Beretta 92x which is supposed to be optics ready. However I have been searching and cannot find a base plate or Red Dot sight that says it is compatible with the Beretta 92x, yet I see marketing photos of this gun with a reflex sight mounted on it. Can anyone help guide me to where I can get a base plate and reflex sight?
