Disclaimer: Don’t take the ‘Actually Sucks’ title too seriously. The point of the series is to put across that no game is perfect, and it’s important to appreciate the flaws in something to better understand what ultimately makes it work or not work for you. All my videos are simply my opinion, and I’d love to hear yours in return.
Up your aresenal, and Size matters are my favorites but its all a matter of what you enjoy, I think that the future series is meh compared to the PS2 games
This is a non canon game it's literally basically flat out said qwark is telling a dtory kinda like in the holavid comics hes in the bathroom in one but its said he defeated the amoboids but in truth ratchet and clank did the fighting and the fact he took credit in 3 for defeating the queen that ratchet and clank actually fought hes a known lier it's a tall tale from qwark thats what this game is
Something that could have differentiated Ratchet from Rivet is if Rivet and Clank had a more antagonistic relationship as a call-back to the first game and also to show how far Clank's relationship with Ratchet has come.
The reason the game doesnt feel like new rachet game completely is they took crash 4 formula and their own version of the storyline so they can make the best game with used ideas about dimensions which became a new idea to make plattform games in that style so kao the kangaroo did it as well. The funny thing there are lines that used in the cutscene where both dimensional selves meet dimensional neferious and asking how many times you beat this guy which explains why crash 4 plots took the platforming into another level and every popular action platforming franchises used their new formula to make their own games
3:50 The end of this level was by far the most frustrating part for me. I can't tell you how many times I died right before I was able to grab the last Teensy.
the game's issue is that it's an open world with ZERO justification for being so. it clearly screams design as a hub based semi open world like sekiro. maybe they could even have shipped the game with a honor system and a branching path narrative if they didn't commit to spending resources on open world meme, because the game's narrative and design just screams traces of a honor system.
I had no clue some people hate this game as far my opinion the game is gud the campaign is gud not too long not too short yes the game does lack a little in content but i dont think it was ever intended to be massive content game like witcher 3 or skyrim broad storyline tons of side quests the game is as it was intended and it delivers on tht combat system is fun and cozy not too hard not too casual the visuals are amazing the soundtrack jst fits the aesthetic of the game it never was a souls game or neither a witcher 3 its Ghost of tsushima.FOR TSUSHIMAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Thats one of the best videos about Ratchet series ever made as literally like 99% of the takes are what im constantly yaping about to my friends. Whenever im tired I can just link it to somebody to ''summary'' my feelings about these games, thank you
Tbh rivet is a dei replacement for ratchet there’s no other excuse or explanation this game was made when get woke go broke wasn’t a meme it was real every movie game they just put a chick in it and make her lame and gay
I'm just going to put it out there; 2002 Ratchet would shoot a man dead on the street for threatening Clank. 2016 Ratchet would try to laugh and be too quirky/cowardly to save Clank from anything lol.
The gameplay was good, but the plot and personality of all the characters had the depth of tracing paper- a huge step back for series. I know it was just to tie in with the movies, but they can do better than that. The dialogue was so dumbed down thst parts of it like Skidd Mcmarxx and the Gadgetron CEO were painful to listen to. Ratchet and Clank themselves also had no personality whatsoever
Dude you are just a crying baby crying about stupid stuff man, you should touch grass or make your own game but man this video is an entire hour of a baby crying do something usesfull with your life
I personally think your critiques were spot on about the game. I share the same thoughts about TLOU Part 2. I couldn’t fathom what Neil Druckmann exactly intended by turning a great game into a disaster with Part 2. I wonder if he thought The Last Of Us fans were just too naive to understand his intentions about writing such a story and he wanted us to accept it at face value. I think it was insulting to my intelligence by telling me that this is what happened and just accept it. They are Naughty Dog, they could have written the best of the best stories. All I could think of is that he just wanted to end this franchise and maybe start another one. He didn’t want to repeat what happened with Uncharted while developing The Last of Us “Part 1”
with you on this brother, got it on PC but couldn't play past the prologue, even that itself was a chore. the game is bland nothing new or interesting.
27:12 I remember Angela swearing and the subtle dick joke when it looks like Fizz!Qwark is pulling up his fly to undo the disguise But that may also just be because I've played Going Commando so much. But I agree with nearly everything you've said here about it
Ratchet and clank have become modern day Simpsons. Ratchet lost his nuts and bolts a long time ago. He has zero personality he has become the uber positive hero with no character.
I feel the passion in your voice bro ..... i know ...... I wonder what it would have been like for me had i just stopped after Gladiator...... But suffice to say i multi completed every game they made . The new games cannot hold a candle to the OG 4

I agree with you 99.9%. Only thing I don’t agree with is what you said on ship combat in crack in time. Ship combat in that game is complete ass. Being locked in place on the y axis makes flying around feel so lifeless and boring, not to mention it take all of the challenge out of the combat. Roll and fire homing missiles… truly riveting combat. I much prefer the ship combat in going commando where you actually have full control over the ship and I think it’s a shame they abandoned that gameplay
I honestly can't really disagree with much of what you said, but I love the game. Sound design plays a massive role for me in my enjoyment of this kind of game and the sound design in Ghost is senseitional. I also enjoy the combat a lot. I don't care about stories in games, never have. That's what books and movies are for.
when i played the game I criticised about it in my local gaming group and every thrashed me. Actually I was just playing it to finish it. Not really enjoying the game itself.
Just say you're a hater and go on with it. If you think this game is boring, you have bad attention span. There's a reason why this game is so highly praised.
The fact that this game has terrible side quests and side activities is undeniable Not to mention that no matter to stay close to the Samurai honor code, the story still calls you an dishonored prick He can be a hater, but you also sounded like a butt kissing fanboy here, comparing this game's open world to a 2015 game like Witcher 3 is like comparing an ant to a boot, and the side quest system is much worse than AC Origins, not to mention the terrible stealth system lol
Yeah, I know this is just a video game and a fictionalized version of the Mongol Invasion. But damn, as someone who reads history. This game is so inaccurate. For example, the armor design of the Samurai and Sakai Clan armor are anachronistic, those armor came later in the 16-17th centuries. The sword design is a katana. But the game takes place in in the 13th century when Japan still used "tachi" which is a curvier sword. The katana was invented in response to the Mongol's hard and thick armor not being able to penetrate the brittle and weak blade of the tachi. (Though in Japanese dub, the sword is called tachi, accurate) But, the thing I really hate is there's not a single samurai who wields a bow! Only like Ishigawa and Jin! Because a real samurai wasn't only a master swordsman, but also an archer! In fact, swords of samurai are mainly for secondary use! In fact, I don't see any samurai who wields spears or war clubs. And yes samurai also knows other weaponry not just swords! The Mongols too are kind off disappointed, because why does this game don't have any Mongol cavalry?!! Umm hello, that's what they were widely known for! They are master archers on horseback. In the game, they ride horses, yes, but when they see Jin, those Mongols immediately dismount to fight you in the ground! Also, the hwacha is not even a Mongolian weapon, it's a rocket launcher developed in Joseon (Korea) in the late 16th century! And what's so ironic is the hwacha was created due to the Japanese invasions of Korea! How about that "samurai code" also known as Bushido? It wasn't fully developed in the 16th century. Also, that samurai fights with pure honor is just romanticized of Hollywood or Kurosawa fiction. In fact, a samurai wasn't only a warrior but a strategist too. They would applaud you for innovative or unconventional tactics. Furthermore, when Shimura arrests Jin by the Shogun due to his dishonorable acts, it's all bullsh1t. What's this the Jedi Order? No, the Shogun wouldn't do something weird like that. This is just scratching the surface there are still a lot of inaccuracies but, this is just a video game I get it! But it still hurts... (Sorry for the bad English, I'm a Filipino)
It definitely screams of a more stereotypical Westerner’s perspective of Japanese history. Despite delving into absurdity, Yakuza Ishin and Rise of the Ronin feel more historically accurate, owing largely to the fact that Japanese developers made both games. I think it’s also telling since Sucker Punch said their game was more of an ode to Akira Kurosawa films than anything else. It’s just that SP’s version feels so devoid of cultural context in a lot of ways that it ends up feeling like a product.
I have to play It, but thous far i understand, they 're trying to make a game based on a movie on a short time. Never like the original game. Hope in the future they gonna make a 2.0 version of the original calling David Bergeau tò redo the soundtrack in stereo
