It's kind of funny where she got the comparison of Skid Row with Lordi, apparently the metal rock genre is not very close to her. And she wasn't impressed at all by Lordi visuals, which was probably also the purpose of showing her this performance. Either way, her musical taste is clearly based on tik tok. Too bad.

Omg I've been looking for this sort of content for ages. I really want to start doing my own theme branding because I love doing motion graphics for when I document my journey to Eurovision. So thank you for this video!!!
Very cool video! I like how you combined the slogan, events and other things into one design. The only thing I think could be changed is the font of the headings because in my opinion it is quite difficult to read. Overall, in my opinion, it turned out to be a very good design.
Joy was amazing! THE best german soul voice ever. You should also listen to her former bands "Joy Unlimited" or even "Joy & The Hit Kids". They played more of a Beat/Soul/R'n'B type of music. Joy Unlimited's album "Schmetterlinge" is available on Spotify and definitely worth a listen. R.I.P. Joy
I think the design turned out very good! Green is an extremely underrated in ESC design, I can only think of a few times in the entire contest history where green has been a primary color in the design, so I hope Swiss TV is taking notes 😉Btw if you ever do a video like this again, I would love to see you try to design some of the on-screen graphics like the title card and scoreboard 😎
Thanks for sharing this - am a bit of a graphics design nerd myself (though I'm a photographer). Love the colour scheme on this but I'd change a couple of the typefaces - the one you've chosen for the headline and strapline sadly struggles for readability IMO. I'd lean into monospace fonts heavily for what you're describing this - one which would maybe fit would be Kontanter (though that might need a bit of modding for legibiility). Perhaps for body I'd use Antikor Mono - or play with the Univers families quite a bit. I'm thinking of something very "digital" in terms of colours - maybe build palettes of no more than 8-16 colours in block and use them to make images like mosaics?
Ich glaub einfach, dass Problem bei Ann-Sophie war, dass sie in den Vorentscheids nicht die erste Wahl war. War zumindest die Zeit, wo das ja so richtig losging, dass genug Leute die einzelnen Vorentscheids der Länder auch verfolgt haben. Und soweit ich noch in Erinnerung habe, war das ja medial sehr präsent, dass Andreas Kümmert zurückgetreten ist und sie somit Nachrückerin war. Würde mich nicht wundern, wenn das dann auch im Ausland die Runde gemacht hat und daher vielleicht der Fokus auf andere Teilnehmer gewandert ist. Ich mein, 2022 und 2023 haben perfekt gezeigt, dass der letzte Platz nicht gleich heißt, dass man überhaupt nicht beim Publikum ankommt. Bei den beiden Jahren lagen wir in den einzelnen Länder-Votings recht gut im Mittelfeld, nicht häufig auch knapp an der Top10 vorbei. Nur leider muss man in der Bewertung mind. unter den 10 besten kommen, um überhaupt Punkte erzielen zu können. Hab mich mit der 2015er Punktevergabe nicht so ausführlich beschäftigt, kann mir aber vorstellen, dass da ein ähnliches Problem vorliegt. Und wir dürfen auch nicht vergessen: 2015 war ein extrem starkes Jahr, wäre sie mit dem Song ein Jahr später gestartet, sähe das ganze vielleicht ganz anders aus!😄
Voll gut analysiert 😳 du hast Recht. Ich kann mir auch vorstellen, dass jede/r Kommentator:in vor ihrem Auftritt gesagt hat „She’s only the second choice”. Hat dann einen komischen Beigeschmack. Und 2015 war echt stark. Habe „goodbye to yesterday“ immer noch in meiner playlist :D

Ich persönlich komm immer noch nicht damit klar, dass Italien trotz der hohen Televotes nur 3. geworden ist 🫣 Und danke, hab von 2016-23 so ne kleine Affinität gehabt und mich intensiver damit beschäftigt, nachdem aber der NDR in der Vorauswahl n Rückschritt gemacht hatte, hats mir zumindest dieses Jahr die Freude daran genommen 😅
