i got a 2005 VW Beetle this POS has less then 108,000 on it and the oil pressure is going bonkers i am thinking it is the pick up is plugged with sludge so I will be using this video to change that soon. It idles fine no issue with oil pressure but when I drive and hit 1700- 1800 RPM the oil pressure light goes on at idle it is fine up to like 3000 RPM then it goes on. I will never buy another VW again this is my second one and have had nothing but issues with them both. The first one was a 92 VW cabriolet and it had issues with the battery draining over night I checked everything I could think of starter, alternator, battery, radio, even pulled the ignition switch plug and it still drained over night. Now this Beetle it has been nothing but problems from day one was slipping 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd so changed the valve body new fluid new filter then starts slipping 1st to 2nd now the oil pickup plus the cable from alternator to fuse block on battery likes to get super hot and melt into the battery.
Whoever designed the reluctor must be a Satan brother....makers claim it will enhance fuel economy...But the fact is this relcutor and many other added parts only add 2-5% of fuel enhancement, compared to thousands $$$ to repair them🤬😠.
I have a 2000 Sebring that I bought from a friend. He had already replaced the top, but it had a soft window that became clouded and then came unglued. It is totally gone, but I do have the original real glass back window. Is there any reason cannot glue the glass window onto the new top?
Sounds good, however what if the vehicle wont stay running at idle? 2003 Sequoia had a faulty alternator which was checked and confirmed. Replaced alternator and inital startup ran ok. the next time it was started it would not keep running unless the gas pedal was depressed to raise the idle speed. Can the same procedure be done while applying gas to keep it running?
Sir - i have a similar issue with my 05 where i turn the center AC knob (that lets you select where the air comes out) and it turns but it does not change the direction of the air (it stays on the dash vent) - will this part/fix resolve my issue? Also my recirculator button doesnt seem to work when i hit it (no light on) - is that just a button replacement?
So here’s my story. Hopefully it help others who were in the same boat as me. I have an 06 Chevy Silverado and my 4X4 selector switch would randomly go in different modes such as 4HI & 4LO on its own following up with a “service 4X4” message. Well one day, It left me stranded. None of my lights for my 4X4 switch was on and I was unable to select 2HI. I lost all my gears including park and when I was switching from Reverse to Park, a loud grinding noise can be heard. I thought I was toast. After all the solutions you mentioned, the very last option worked for me. I took off the T-case encoder off and turn the shaft by hand and what do you know, It’s back up and running again until i get a replacement. Well anyways just wanted to say thanks!
2010 Kia soul gives p0016. I believe after changing other oem parts the problem is the reluctor ring on back of exhaust camshaft? Or the intake? Is this absolute to replace as pair or? Hoping is just the pin broken. Any advice appreciated. Thank you
Dude… of all the guys ‘trying’ to explain the R&R of the window regulator 8% go to fast, camera waving all over the place, or assume you’re at the same knowledge as they are. Your video is clear, concise, great cam shots & not talking over my head. GREAT, GREAT JOB!
Welcome, I have a problem with the rear brakes. I expel all the air from inside the hoses and they seem to be fine, but in the morning the pedal is very weak or completely non-existent. I expel air from the front and rear outlets. What should I do?
Thanks for the video! I am in the middle of this job, my issue was a broken wire but I also suspect the relay. I just ordered parts. mine is a 1J0919506Q, which I believe is compatible with the K? it is a 2001 Jetta wagon TDI. My understanding is that if it is the 14 pin it will work, thoughts? Thanks again!
Just bought one of these cars today with this issue it had not overheated yet and sounds and runs perfect, but has the Genie light flashing, I'm glad I found your video thank you so much
Ten years later this guy is still helping grand am people out, thanks a ton for your bumper videos, seat removal and even the mirrors now. I've done em all
If you have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, you may have to drain your radiator hose that's below the fan motor. That's what I did to get that hose out the way.
