I didn't even know the quad rooms existed until I looked at my assignment. This video is a bit helpful in getting a better understanding of what I'm in for. Really stressed about the lack of space tbh. Like those desks are just crammed in. Can't believe they are charging $4200 for each of us to room there! $1680/week income off those quads!
The desk extensions make the desk room extremely cramped. My advice would be to not use them. The biggest problem with the quads isn't actually the layout, but instead your 3 other roommates. If you get roommates you get along with and they don't live like slobs then chances are you'll end up liking the quad rooms. The best part of the quad room is the fact that the bedrooms are separated from the "work"/desk room. This means that you or your roommates can go to bed at any time and you don't have work in the dark or worry about waking them up with your working. Price is indeed bullshit though, but rumor has it that Regan hall will be demolished in 2026 so hopefully future students won't have to endure the musty and overpriced rooms of Regan hall.
Hey! Sorry for the delay but Alder, Thompson, and and Miller (aka. ATM) are the newest ones and the rest are the older ones. I believe Regan Hall is the oldest out of them all.
At cuarto, can I make a roommate group of 4 ppl for the rooms?? or am I only able to choose my other roommate and not the other room? I have a group of friends and we all wanna dorm together but idk how to do it...
during my first year my friend in Cuarto only chose her roommate but not her housemates, but I would email Student Housing to make sure! I'm sure they'll accommodate y'all, but in 2019 no one could only choose who they wanted to room with but not where they stayed
She rented it from the Student Housing and Dining Services! They placed a booth outside the residential halls within the dorm living area and they laid out all the appliances you can rent from them, including mini fridges :)
From what I know, Cottonwood has the music room, the meditation room, and the games room that all Tercero residents can use. Redwood and Mahogany have pretty big rooms compared to the other halls according to my friend. The newest Tercero halls should (presumably) have bigger rooms too. Just found an article here that may help :) www.ucdavis.edu/news/new-residence-halls-part-most-ambitious-housing-program-uc-davis-history-1
oops! i'm rewatching my vid right now because I miss my friends BUT I realized at 9:16 i meant to say claim the bottom bunk/single bed for triple rooms! sorry about that :')
I have a question: at cuarto could guy and girls be in the same dorm or suite style dorm idk what it’s called? But I’m a freshman or will be a incoming freshman and I was wonder
when you sign up for classes on schedule builder they will show you how many seats are available in the class! that's how I usually determine if a class is small and more interactive :)
Seeing this video makes me so excited to possibly attend there. I’m a current junior in hs and I live in the town next to Davis called Dixon. I hope I can get in 🤞🙏
im so happy i found your channel because they're making me so excited for college (and hopefully uc davis) next year p.s. you and your friend are great and entertaining ^^
@@wonurolls if you want to live on campus your second year I think you can request who you want to move in with. I'm not too sure about that though because I moved out of the dorms with some of my friends!
