My parents spent their honeymoon in Sylvania after getting married at my great-aunt's house in Augusta in 1958. It's sad to see how so much of rural Georgia has declined.
These are hard to find! Great job and thank you ❤ I was wondering if the Green Springs waterpark was where they filmed Zack being pushed into the water by the brat kid
I filmed my music video “Suitcases” (available on my channel) at ALL of the locations from The Peanut Butter Falcon! It’s a homage to the film because fun fact- I was IN the film during the wrestling scene! Check Suitcases out!!
So the house you guys filmed is a bed and breakfast.. or at least it was... Berry College I think is set up for a hospital scene... The locations they filmed at was near the Ford building.. where Remember the Titans was filmed. I had to take detours home from work or when I went out of town due to filming in Rome. It's pretty cool!
Lt. William Wallace 1756-1800 5th grandfather. I visited site today. I believe it could be a nice revolutionary park. The sights on the pathetic where classy but hard to read. I do invision it to be more. The Tuckahoe wildlife management area was perty awesome. I enjoyed riding down to miller's lake and taking in the swamps and wet lands. There was quite a few folks at boat ramp. I did not explore area fully but that part was nice. Thx
Can you tell me who and how to contact the person about placing the commemorative bricks at this site? It is my understanding that my 3rd Great Grandfather, George Lawson Stapleton Sr., was captured by the British at this battle, and served the remainder of the war as a POW on a British ship at St. Augustine.
Hi Fay. That is a fascinating story about your 3rd great grandfather. If you want more information about getting a commemorative brick as well as the painting, please e-mail Stephen Hammond at shammond@nctv.com
Great Video! I loove looking at old pictures of downtown!! Especially from then and now, it really makes you think about the evolution of the town. I used to hear my daddy tell me lots of stories of the old from his hay day around my area and in Augusta! Thanks for the post!
Glad you enjoyed it! It's very cool seeing how things evolved. In the future, I'd love to do a deep dive into when each building was built in downtown, and figure out which buildings are the oldest.
I live in Sylvania Ga, where the Peanut factory is. Sucks you didn't mention it they're filming part of the next Halloween movie under the Viaduct this weekend.
This was great info on that Battle in which I knew nothing about until your video sir. Thank you for your hard work. Much love and respect from Ontario, Canada.
