I've been trying to respond to one of your previous messages regarding the rubber molding for Preludes but for some everytime I'd respond the message would delete. So I'm trying it on this video to see if it goes through. Let me know if you get this.
Hi, What an EXCELLENT series of videos on your amazing Prelude!! You have been on quite the build adventure!! 👍👍 I have a H22A2 Prelude 2.2i VTEC as well. What horsepower does the car now make with your modifications? I would like to increase my stock power up to 200hp. I have fitted a 2.5 inch custom exhaust, cold air intake, DragonForce distributor, NGK HT Leads and Iridium Spark plugs. To make the car lighter i have removed the air conditioning system, collectively weighing 13kgs. Hopefully i have added around 5-10hp already. Please may i ask, without changing the stock internals of the engine, what would you suggest to get over the 200hp target?
Чувак ты просто безумно щепетильный в восстановлении авто. У меня тоже 4 gen прелюд. Посмотрел твои видео и однозначно выказываю тебе уважение! Из России с любовью!
Here's that link to pre-order for the inner and outer door molding and the trunk molding from Metro Molded Parts. Metro is a rubber manufacturing company here in the USA.
Thx Thomas, but i can't see your link. You wanted to write me on a fb account, then you can write me here (chrvronseven76) m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=122094441950121265&substory_index=2821931404614532&id=61553637951759
Hello. My name is Thomas. I hope you can understand English. I don't know Russian. I'm a Prelude enthusiast as well. My self and another enthusiast have recently contacted two companies here in the USA that are starting to make new rubber molding for Preludes. Let me know if you are interested.
Love the video it's amazing. i have a 1994 2.3i 4ws prelude myself. Most difficult challange for me at the moment is trying to find the tie rod ends for the rear steering. Any advice?
Plastic welding is time consuming but can be done nicely when you take your time. Do you use heavy gauge stainless steel mesh behind the joints on the backside of the repaired areas?? Thats how I do it, overlapping the seams slightly and melting the mesh into the plastic. When you do the repair like that it'll actually be stronger than the rest of the plastic. Nice work though.
@@7chevronseven7 oh I wasn't talking super heavy, just slightly stiffer than basic screen material. The cheap ass Hobo Fright kit comes with a chunk of it actually.
Thx, when you like to see the finished conversion, here is a short vid. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m6IKdFz56ME.html The Car is still in silver, the yellow paint comes in September.
Hey dude this looks amazing! I'm thinking of doing the EL Cluster swap. Do you know if there's a way to set the mileage on the new cluster to match the old number?
