I’ve always liked Hamilton’s playing, but the balance in this recording leaves much to be desired. The guitar is louder than the rest, the piano is barely audible, and Hamilton’s sax is somewhere in between.
Mr. Scott Hamilton interprets the song as a gift from heaven. Davide Calvi, on the piano, performs phrases that are reminiscent of Oscar Peterson (RIP). In fact, a whole set of rare beauty.(applause)
@@chicofln Hint - find yourself a copy of M ediaHuman MP3 downloader (which is the best Ytube downloader I have been able to find ) - virus check the package as per anything you download , prior to installation. Then you can make a permanent copy of this an Many other things. I put them on USB stick and CD so I' sure I can't lose them . My concept - if it is on Ytube there's no copyright - the legal situation is clear . Whether the intellectual property owner knows it's on Ytube and being downloaded - that's a whole other can of worms I don't want to go into :-)) he he..
La versión de Hamilton de Autumn Leaves está a la altura de las mejores de la historia de Jazz. Me recuerda a la de Benny Golson una de las referencias de este grandísimo saxofonista tenor. Gracias por el video del concierto
Nothing is impressive or surprising enough, especially when you witnessed such an amazing guitar titans like Holdsworth, Gambale, Shawn Lane, Pat Metheny, Greg Howe, John Scofield, Steve Morse etc in the 80's and 90's. Matteo is a great guitarist, but his original music/compositions are so so.
Mah... si, il suono profondo del piano classico forse ti sorprende un pò all'esposizione del tema, ma sugli assoli è perfetto, superlativo. Sapessi improvvisare io così!
