“Instructions said to fill it up to about THERE”!…Too funny…my instructions were very similar with them stating “Just don’t over FILL”…So I made sure not to overfill it and ended up filling to about where you did…U know what I’m saying…, filled it to right about “THERE”! Works like a dream…👌
10 years old and still timeless information like this stove! Thank you. Hope you are doing well now. Hard to believe what we all have been through since you filmed this video.😊
With the prices of lamp oil/ kerosene, I have recently tried using ULSDiesel. Running the wick down low like you ha e in this video I haven't really had much of a smell. Great video
I have several dofferent ones from different years. And got this same model today for a whopping ten dollars. Goona test it out later. Got that plus the duel fuel lantern as well for another 10 dollars. Ive been wanting one for awhile.
I have 4 of these, a 1930's 6F , 1966 411A , 1982 425F and a 1983 431. They all work fantastic on regular unleaded gas. Never had an issue with them, I just pull out the generator once a year and give it a few wipes with a green scotch pad and that's it. The 6F weighs a ton with the cast iron burners and a much different flame pattern. Great stoves that last a life time.
Great demo... I think the stove is decent and it possibly could be used with twigs in a pinch if you ran out of Sterno... With that said I saw a review on the Sterno jetboil type stove.. a circular stove you put the Sterno can down inside and then there's a cup that screws on top in that review the water was boiling within 10 minutes!! Most likely because very little heat escapes from the jetboil type....
We have a couple of Salmon Falls pottery style oil lamps which are set up for use but we've never used them. I got an odorless lamp oil and now feel confident in how to use it, thanks to your tutorial. Thanks so much!
Hi Do you think this would work with wood? I have never in my life heard of coffee bags, I'm going to get some! And what is that little pan you used with a matching coffee mug? I love it! Thanks for such a fun video God bless you real good ❣️🌿🐦 Jude from Kentucky
These are now selling for $100 & more on eBay! I have several never used ones from my grandparents. I like the video very much but it would have helped to see you actually light it, show how you light it, & what it looks like lit in light & in the dark. Thank you very much!
Well, now I see how it is supposed to go together. There were no instructions with mine and, worse still, parts were missing. Apparently it had come apart and two clips were gone. Without instructions I had no way of knowing this until now thanks to your video.
Funny, you got it for $64 from Walmart online in 2013, today in 2022 Walmart's online price is $254.64. That's FOUR TIMES the price. Gotta love inflation ...Thanks Biden!
