As someone who never had a charging stand, this Dock is absolutely amazing, it ticks all boxes in quality of life features, plus its design is probably one of the best, because the market is flooded with not the best-looking stands. Ordered the Sand color, it's just beautiful. Good vid Frank!
Not sure if “proprietary” is the right word here to describe the charging cable and port, but it is something that is unique to this device and I’ve not seen it used with other devices or anywhere else
I had the same experience that a lot of others have had here. I was between sizes so I went to the lower size for the braided solo loop. It worked out great. At the same time I bought this band I also bought a solo loop, which is made from silicone rubber. For that one I went with the larger size; that worked out well too. So, I ended up with two different sizes for the two bands. The thinking here is that I heard from a few people, some with lots of experience (Apple staff in the store) that the braided solo loop will tend to stretch out more than the rubber solo loop. The different size approach recognizes the different stretching behavior of the two materials. Here's something I discovered with the braided solo loop: If you want to 'tighten it up' a bit, stretch it out in the width direction, all up and down the length of the band. This tends to 'shorten' the band a bit. It seems to work.
I tried braided loop in an Apple store. I tried sizes 7 and 6. Both seemed fine 7 might be slightly too loose. When I had 6 on when I twisted my hand down the watch was poking me. when I did this with 7 there was very little poking. I’m worried if I get 7 it will get too loose.
You probably weren’t measuring your arm correctly. It’s hard using one hard to check the size. You are meant to place the tape on top of your hand where you place your watch on. After that wrap around the tape tightly.
as I don't have an Apple Store near me, I'm very happy that I took the time and effort to do some research about the Braided Solo Loop Band sizing before buying one online and stumbled across this video. my wrist measures 17.5cm on the spot where I wear my Watch normally, which Apple converts into a size 8. following the advice of this video, I ordered myself a size smaller (so size 7) and it fits perfectly! thanks Frank!
i sized down for the solo loop- thinking of getting a braided solo loop, but they appear to be a little looser- anyone have experience like this? should i size down again? Really dont want to have to return and get another size lol
I sized for an 8...I have both a size 6 and a 7. The 6 is too snug on my wrist so for now I am sending it back to Apple...the 7 is snug but a tad loose when I first put my watch on in the morning. As the day goes by my wrist area gets fuller from natural fluids and especially when I am working out in the gym the 7 then feels perfect. If the 7 stretches out too much I will try the washing in hot water then hot blow drying it and if that does not help shrink it back close to its original size then I will be purchasing another 6.
Hello! I commented on one of your videos a while back about the sizing guide. So if I were to get one of these bands, whatever my size is should I go down one or two sizes?
Hi. I recently learned that some stores would ask that you go actually try on the size before buying. I guess it really shows that the sizing is really just a reference. But I think my original response is still reasonable. I’m including it here: Really depends on your preference. I think if you get the size you measured, it would be form fitting, it would be comfortable. I actually asked some of my friends who got the size they measured, and they are happy with the fit. For me, my measurement (hovering right around the line between 7 and 8) , the size 7 band I got was comfortable. But for my personal preference, I like it tighter, that's why I went with size 6 in the end. I'd say it was more one size down for me, not two. So if you wear your watch more on the comfortable side, I'd guess the measurement is pretty accurate. Still, this is very new, so I don't know how the elasticity will last after a while. I'd also recommend wait a bit and see if the RU-vidrs you follow post any follow-ups after a while of usage, which would definitely provide better insight. I am planning on a video down the road to provide a follow up on how that goes, you are welcome to follow the channel for that update :) Good luck.
I bought Braided Solo Loop from ali for just $8 and took me only 8 days to arrive here in the USA. It looks exactly the same as the original one strapsies.ml/BraidedSolo

If I am a size 6 in the solo loop, would a size 6 in the braided solo loop feel the same size or bigger/looser so i should go with a Size 5 braided solo loop?
I have not tried the solo-loop actually so I’m afraid I wouldn’t be the best guy to ask. I’d recommend checking out some of the other reviewers online. Thank you for stopping by!
After watching your review I ordered 44mm Atlantic blue loop for my Hermes Apple watch series 4 stainless steel case. I guess it will also go perfect with my pre-ordered iPhone 12 Pro pacific blue which I'm getting on 26 Oct 😍 Thank you...
