On your last point I would argue V for the time they where together would have effected Panam decisions and for the time they have left V would keep her calm and level headed because Panam does really value Vs opinion remomanced or not and on the off chance they do find V a cure well i can imagine the 2 of them will keep the clan intact in their owm crazy way especially if V has the Nomad life Path so V understands the importance of keeping the clan together it is why they lefy their original clan.
Loved this series, im currently rewatching AoT, so its fun to get that better understand Jean as a character. I would love to see a study on Reiner and his grief, I always loved his role as an anchor of the recruits despite his later betrayal, and then how he copes after the fact. Love the content!
Wouldve loved to see some more world building for the heist, It could’ve been great early game. Cause after that exploring night city its up to you to figure out whats going on. And the world is so beautiful understanding it/where you are and whats happening is so important to truly enjoy it. Great video btw
The story’s ending was so nonsensical. Everything happened because of some bizarre case of “stockholm syndrome” and they waited till the very last minute to drop that reveal with no buildup whatsoever. This cheapens the lore and plot so badly that it ruins most of the great characters as well.
Hannibal Lecter was also a fan of classic philosophy. Arasaka probably has a killer version of soul killer along with the preservative one . The actual killer one was released against Bug because most likely Saburo left orders form its use against netrunners who assassinated him so that triggered it use. As for Tbug I presume at some point they had a better death if I can call it that for her but the development problems CDPR had along with a lack of time caused them to end her life offscreen and abruptly. Maybe Pasco what ever his name is who is part of the Boston team CDPR has assembled knows what their original ideas were for killing TBug and since he was on twitter from time to time you could ask him.
veilgard didn't lose it, they never had it. The poof is in the pudding that many of these dev teams shout out usually decades before they even start on any of these games. Its that they hate the gamers. Its that they hate the games. its that they (usually) hate the subject matter of said games, be it guns, violence and pretty women or non-inclusive language... and they then bend over backwards to ruin a multibillion dollar company because they want to wreck male spaces. All that is fine, as ... there are quite litterally billions of amazing games, and .. lets me completely honest, i could go into the grave playing command and conquer, dune, populous 3 and just never look at modern gaming again... They really made their own beds, and now they have to entertain the idea that nobody will ever join them in it.
Here's the kicker though, these modern games that are flopping also have MILLIONS of taxpayer investment... that i feel like the average civilian should start knowing of.
I think that was a really interesting analysis. Vi is my favourite character in arcane & i think she, like all the characters in arcane, is so nuanced & well written there are many ways to view her intentions & actions at every point in the story. In a nutshell i have always seen vi as being unconditionally protective & feels overwhelmingly responsible for powder's happiness & wellbeing. Jinx is actually like a whole different person & a very real threat & enemy of powder. So much so that vi feels she has to literally defeat jinx in order to get her sister powder back. I can't wait to see how it all pans out in S2. Thanks for a great video SBS.
This has been food for thought, though I cant really relate to Jean because I feel that Armin's previous statement is better. Only those who are willing to become monsters can change the world and I believe deeply that you have to become as cruel as your surroundings. When it comes to AoT... My only feeling is that I dont think Eren went far enough. He let his friends be a stopgap. When faced with Marley and their invasion and all the people wanting for blood, my personal response would be all-out violence and as a certain fictional character from Breaking Bad would put it "no half-measures".
I wonder tho, would Vi on the bridge hate Vi the Enforser from season 2... Also what is interesting is that before she leaves to save Vander, Vi gives Powder her bunny toy as she was finally able to bring it down. And at the very end of the series, at the mad tea party - you can see Valdiani gadget as soon as Vi opens her eyes. It was in the bag Powder trew in the water while she escaped, which means she herself was finally able to bring it back, her own version of the "bunny" - a symbol of her weakness. 27:00 she kept both the bunny and the flare in that box
While I don't believe that T-Bug betrayed the team, I DO believe that she faked her death. She talked about retiring and cutting all ties with her past. That takes time to set up and she'd likely been working on it for years. I think she got burned badly during the heist but since everyone believed she was dead, she let it stay that way to avoid the Arasaka hounds.
Very good video Lydi! Been looking forward to this part 2. I think that Jean does a brilliant job of reflecting the themes of the story back onto the main characters. In that way he is the ultimate supporting character. His peaceful dream is the mirror to Eren’s crusade, his heart stands in mirror to Armin’s brain, and his compromising nature is the mirror to Mikasa’s staunch certainty. And in being a mirror to each of these characters he helps them grow and grows himself in the process.
I've done three playthroughs and I cannot physically choose to do anything other than the star ending, with nomad V. I told myself I would, to experience different playthroughs, but I can't.
Schnee has a really good video about this, too. That in the Moment Ekko has pinned her down and she is pulling the pin of the granade she is Powder, not Jinx. And that thats the reason why she smiles and armes that granade. To be able to die as Powder and not having to be Jinx anymore.

Schnee said it pretty well, he's the only important character who's focused on the present, making a difference now. He also pointed out that his name is symbolism for his role as well. "What is an echo? It is a sound coming from the past to the present."
I loved her from the get go. Even though I love Jinx and Silco, she’s never been wrong and she’s stood by everyone she could until she hit a certain point where she just couldn’t support them anymore. Sevika was definitely one of my favourite characters, I still can’t decide between her and Vi but gosh, I love her so much.
Wow, what a beautiful Explanation plus how you managed to place cutsecnes was so accurate and made it perfect. Also how you mentioned Jean, Sasha and Connie as normal humans yet still willing to save world, and each other was soo beautiful, also the Ice-cream scene 😅. Also how you explained Jean character growth through entire storyline was so amazing to each and every detail, as friend, leader, as strangers/rivals( During S4 when everyone had to work with each other to stop Erin) and man who pushed forward with Hope. Also Scene where you explained their(Connie, Jean) acceptance to turn into titan by founding titans poison gas was also incomparable. Personally i liked part 2 even better, or it might be that i missed AOT's other short movies where story focus more in beginning part, their time as Cadets. Really Gald that you could give time, and make video about AOT while also covering other Series.
@@lydiscott I'm still processing it. I figured out what Eren's plan was as soon as I realized Historia was being sidelined, but the pseudo-time travel stuff seems an unnecessary complication. Even without that part Eren is probably the worst person in a show full of terrible people and the terrible situations that they create and which create them in turn. But the ending itself I think I love. It's somewhere between Return of the King and All Quiet on the Western Front, a bittersweet conclusion in which the two components are so mixed that you cannot separate one from the other.
With rogue I don’t think it’s a hypocrisy thing. She’s been alive for a long time. A lot of these characters are shown to be just one bullet that chinks the armor of the corporations. I think all of these characters fundamentally understand maybe not the man but the action of Johnny. Take enough shit in this life long enough, stay strong and brave long enough, keep fighting long enough…. One day you’ll find a reason good enough to be a bullet fired at full velocity. Even though they know that bullet isn’t the killing blow. In a world like this one final fuck you is worth it. Like the calling to the void. These are the type of characters fundamentally that have the passion to dive into the void screaming. Not everyone in night city is a merc willing to kill the “right” people just to avoid a mundane and short life of trauma and pain. All the characters we meet are a different kind of person and I think it’s easy to forget that these people’s convictions are not the same as the rest of the population.

You actually unlocked, for me, the reason I found Skyrim so mediocre and never understood the hype until now. I have such a lack of creativity and imagination that Skyrim felt hollow. I can appreciate a great narrative and world building with games such as the Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk when that story unfolds as I walk the path of it. However, it never occurred to me that that's what Skyrim was supposed to be doing for me, so thank you!
I actually wanted to see ekko the moment I saw the opening lol and ended up just loving him and STILL wanting more of him so hopefully s2 delivers big 🤞. Great video, loved seeing the ekko appreciation ❤
It feels so off that whenever you speak about Jinx it is like listening to a psychiatrist from the 50s talking about a patient they had stopped considering human.
I feel like the PL ending for Judy was absolutely NOT a happy ending for her. If you play as a male V, then yes, the conversation implies she’s happy with Bianca. But, if you listen to the subtext when she speaks to female V, she’s not happy at all. The way she immediately lets her guard down when she says, seemingly on the verge of tears, “where you been, choom?”, before regaining her composure. The anger in her voice when she says the operation must have been gruesome and bloody. Her phrasing when she says it’s nice to know SOME people get a happy ending, as if subtly implying she’s not one of them. And finally, the way she says, I’m good now, please don’t take that away, instead of emphatically stating she’s happy, all says to me that Bianca felt safe after the chaos of NC, and that’s what Judy needed in her throes of grief. That’s not the same as happy. If she was truly happy, V popping back up in her life would not be enough to destroy her marriage, as she implied. Stating she was lonely and despondent as the reasons she moved on from V says to me that Bianca was little more than a rebound Judy settled for. At least that’s how I read it.
