Shaw TV’s focus is on the support of Community Access programming that is produced by members of our local community, and the training of local community Volunteers in television production. a decade later places like are failing and bringing down Nanaimo's neighborhoods, giving them things like clean needles and meth pipes are only enabling their clients addictions not helping them and making security guards on duty at these places 24/7 necessary, and make crime and violence go up significantly at these places and the fact that so many more of these type of homes have opened up since this interview and the homeless population just keep going up and up getting closer to the 1000 mark, and its because other cities are bringing their homeless on Nanaimo making it a dumping ground for addicts all over the province and possibly canada!!!!!!!

Nanaimo ? just keep on going past this place...my friend. Only until those elected into office take a week rotation to stay a month at these facilities that they created, will anything possibly change..if at all Now "that" would be a worthy resumé for anyone running for office... and it would make national news - guaranteed. So the main issue : No security at all. There is one "compound" near the town center ... close to the historic residential area - and a horror night's sleep that includes theft... sex abuse... & violence ... is why the homeless stay away & tent up anywhere else. ...and guess what ? the shot heard around the country ended up as a cattle call for all homeless people to make an exodus to Nanaimo. The politician who made public.. big screen TV's and beautiful furniture ... enabled those who want to live for free elsewhere in the country to pick this specific place. How 'bout that ? TVs were stolen & sold for drugs. So now... the "compounds" are a last resort. Bowen Park, for example, is a preferred alternative & has camping drug nests right by the river, where young families with children walk the paths... and, of course, drug paraphernalia, condoms & feces. Nanaimo ? It's a toilet... bottom rung on the ladder - Zero uniforms hourly patrolling the areas. Zero accountability. It's unfortunate. Other than the casino & incredibly visible Sally Ann ... the layout of Nanaimo could have been a great tourist destination. Anyone visiting from other parts of the country say the same thing... they only remember the enormous amount of derelict people.
Nice to know that Canada has two remarkable tugboats to represent both it’s coasts. “Theodore Too” here on the East Coast and the “MV: Saravan” on the West Coast. :)
I do believe but I do think they find us. We do not find them. Loggers/ tree climbers what ever referred as. Reported odd bear type animals walking on 2 legs for centuries. After all that's the real reasoning for more and more sightings. We as humans are destroying ALL wildlife's homes. I will not get started on the ocean life. We can't all move in on sea life but missiles, bombs and etc.set off for testing. Remember: We as humans are not atop of the food chain. We could/in some countries and or island's will be next! Lord, bless us all indigenous tribes are included, as ALL! RIP, John👣
