It could be that the silicone used to make the mold might be a factor? Or that the beeswax might be impure or not at the right temperature when you cast it or remove it?
Al fin salió al mercado este molde. Para los apicultores en Guatemala le es altamente costoso las láminas de cera. Esto les ayudará a bajar costos. Si habían moldes para pasteles como no haber para cera? 🎉🎉

I don’t have one, But it looks as though a rolling pin could be used level it out. I read a comment that the sheet is inconsistent. I thinking this could work. It’s slow. Hope you have a lot of time on your hands
I bought one a few years ago on Amazon real cheap and made several sheets of beewax foundation, for me it took tons of wax to make a sheet so I stopped using it. You make it look so easy by the way ( there were a lot of inconsitence spots in the wax like you mentioned ).
Thanks but It took several tries to get it right...In South Africa it doesn't always work to put in full frame foundation because the bees in the neighborhood eat away at the wax, or it gets distorted in the heat and the bees end up drawing out wonky comb. So we tend to use starter strips. Ill be placing some trap hives and as soon as I have some results ill share them!
I used lightly soapy water, remove excess, getting consistent takes time, but works okay, rolling it helps with brittleness ,I also like the dipping board technique
I think there is lots of room for improvement...i also like the dipping board method. Maybe there is a way to combibe the two? On mobday i put out a whole lot of trap boxes ( it is how we get new swarms in South Africa) and ill report back on what the bees think.

@@user-eu5gb4mm7w russian videos show a poly matrix mold, its not as soft as the silicone, after using dipping board to get sheets then they roll the sheet in the poly mold under pressure from a clothes wringer ,embossing the hex cells, and less brittle
