Hi my name is Tim Coakley and I have been playing the bass off and on since my early 20's. My goal in creating this channel is to help musician play the bass and have fun doing it. I am self taught and learned most of my songs by tabs or by ear. Hopefully I can show how fun it is to play the bass and give the beginning musician confidence in playing the instrument. I try to pick easier songs to learn, as well as ones that I like. Thanks for watching my channel. Take care. Peace.
@@rodneyhunter4241 thanks for the compliment rodneyhunter4241. Ya i took a break for a while. But im back. Lol. Have a great night and thanks for checking out my channel.
Great job! The bass freq prominence is perfect for demo'ing this wonderful song from a time when you could turn a $10 FM radio & hear million dollar music like A Million To One.
Wow I'm listening to it right now, that does sound a lot like Draggin the line. LOL. That's awesome I never put the parallel songs together. Thanks take care. Peace.
I'm sorry Mintz347 but I do not have any tabs for the video. Try slowing down the vid and watch my fingers closely. It will help a lot. Take care peace.
Fine job Tim! Very very well played! Thank you for showing me how to play this magical John Lodge bass line I remember humming in little league! lol True Jim Chicago
That's awesome Lilly. Keep up the good work and continue to practice on the bass. Music will change your life. Lol. Take care and thanks for checking out my channel.
@@timothymcoakley8555 Hey Tim remember me I started playing bass 6 months ago I think I’m starting to play some songs the first one I’ve learned is 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago I’m gonna post me playing it let me know what you think again I’m learning all the basics and I seem to be moving around the fretboard with my fingers a lot faster not a lot, but a lot faster than I was when I first started!😃😎
@@joeferraro1594 Super cool Joe. Definitely let me know when you post it. That's awesome.!!!!. Congrats on staying with the bass. It's a great instrument. Take care peace!.
@@timothymcoakley8555 I found you looking for Touch of Grey. I just joined a rock band after playing swing and blues for 40 some years. They do a lot of Deadhead stuff and your track was the best out there. I'll be looking at lots more of your stuff too. Thanks - keep it coming.
Thanks Justinandsheba for checking out my channel again. Super cool of ya! Ya I agree I fell in love with that bass when I bought her back in 1995. After hours of playing every bass in the store, I finally bought her. My friends were definitely agitated. Lol.
Great Question. I am playing on a Ernie Ball 20th anniversary limited edition 1976 to 1996 stingray 4 string bass, with nylon wound strings. I love this Bass. Thanks for the question. Have a great day. And thanks for checking out my channel. Take care. Peace.
Good job! The Association really did it with this one. It’s one of the most beautiful songs of all time. They don’t make music like this anymore. They just don’t.
After Buddy Holly, another Guy recorded it. He was the guy who added in the Harp, Buddy was still alive and thought the tune lacked something, The Harmonica! Everyone played Not Fade Away, it wasn't until Brian Jones came along s played it correctly, which is accurate and it actually took 3 Harmonicas on the version after Buddy's initial recording, but the recording was terrible quality. From the book How to Play the Hohner Marine Band Harmonica( out of print), Chapter 4 How to Play Multiple Harmonica's. As it is done very fast. It is difficult to see Brian Jones switch Harps 4 times because he is holding the Harmonicas in the true professional manner for playing and switching Keys of the Harps. Keys, Rhythm G and Lead A Mid should be a D. But A fits and is not switched. It's a fun song to play.
Hi from Bonny Scotland. Nice one love it. Next song i wish to add to my play list. Goin to arrange and learn Bass tab this week. Love learning the classics. Cheers Tim, Bass on Bro. 🎸🤓👌
Thanks for the awesome comment StuC. It's great to hear from another bass player. You will love learning this song. It was fun. One of my fav bands. It's great to get a comment all the way from Scotland. What a treat. Take care from Michigan USA. Peace.
