I haven't been able to determine the perfect Will of God, although He spent most of His time nursing my heart hile I was married to a very manipulative, verbally and later physically abusive husband. Over a year and a half later I forive him, and reforgive him whenever I have a bad memory. Bur now I am sure I know what God wants for my lufe. I got so much confirmation from last week's video ❤❤❤Thank you SO MUCH And YES I can give up my business dreams if God tells me there's something else is a priority, such as a family need, for example. Or anything Go says. I do hear Him every day. Now that I live alone, I may pray out loud for 3 or 4 hours at night in bed. I feel like I am finally able to live God's Will. It has been such a rough season, but the fruit of my prior prayers is almost ready to harvest ❤❤❤

Omygosh honey this is EXACTLY what is going on in my life. I have been praying about a way I could be a successful entrepreneur again since I was disabled in 2008. I was a medically trained LMT, had a private practice after working at 3 clinics. Unfortunately my successful entrepreneurship was cut shirt by a fall down the stairs. Husband #2 was a covert narcissist . He led me to believe I could train to be a Licensed Pet Massage Therapist with a mobile visit so pets would feel comfortable in their surroundings. I had 4 years experience volunteering 2x a week at a no kill animal shelter and have had 3 ESA dogs (on paper, but all my dogs were my Emotional Support Animals since pre school. I was well qualified, he helped pay for a state of the art laptop, and when I got ready to enroll, he said we couldn't afford it. But we could afford for him to drink hard alcohol at the bar and put hundreds of dollars into Oregon Lottery Machines? 😮😮 So for 2 years I've had a dream of starting a DIY art workshop in my shed with power and light. Well he didn't want to let me do it, even though he built me the art studio and I had purchased supplies. Well, after the physical abuse started I got a restraining order and a divorce. I AM FREE TO LIVE FOR HOD, AM MOVING OUT OF THIS SNALL RUMOR FILLED TOWN, AND WIRKING OUT OF A STUDIO SET UO IN THE DINING ROOM OR, IF I'M FORTUNATE (PLEASE 🙏💕🥰) I will have a garage with power. I am so excited and have a charity picked out to tithe to, Rabbit Seed Ministries. They have a Christian School in a poor part of Africa 🌍 The children need shoes. They gift livestock to families. And each child gets a pet rabbit they are taught to care for. Right before you said, Delight yourself in the Lord and she will give you the desires of your heart, I actually thought of that verse right before you said it 🕊️ I thought, I DO I DO, I DO DELIGHT KYSEKF IN THE LIRD. Such wonderful confirmation for my dreams throughout your whole video 🙏🙏🙏🩷🩷🩷

Thank you! This gives me hope! I can't use gesso or glues in general, bc I'm super sensitive to them. So, to think I can just color on the page, makes me happy. Unsure how the salt gets used? Is that the alternate prep or a for a 'gritty' texture? Thank you! :)

Thx Amanda! I bought the NKJV, Thomas Nelson’s book by book journals. ( not all of them. Lol ). They are A5 size, and have a full blank page on one side, and the back side of the page you painted is white. It does have very light grey lines…. But the pages are so thick! And the font is The “Comfort Print”, HUGE font. You can buy them individually, or in sections, or all together. I’m 56 yrs old. So, these babies are awesome! I think I have nearly every Version with the 2” border. But these are game changers. I know ESV also has these journals as well. Hope that helps anyone. Plus you can carry it around in your purse or Travelers Notebook ( A5). Love your mountains! Promise I won’t sound like a commercial next time. Blessings to you! - Messy Mendy 🙏🏻👍❤️🤗🖌

Hey Amanda, great tips on getting ideas to art journal. This is what I do when I want to art journal (and have no inspiration); I take a scripture verse that is either from my monthly scripture writing that I do with a group or some verse that God puts on my heart or one that is meaningful to me and I google it. i.e. 1 Kings 2:2-3 jpgs - I found one that had a woman walking down a path with trees on either side. So I drew in pencil what I "saw" and then added my color. I do this a lot and it helps me if I don't have anything in "my spirit" which is great because I still have fun spending time with Him.

SUCH a great question, Sherry. I actually used the grey watercolor paint from my set. I did not pull the ink from the brush lettering. Once the ink has dried for the sort of pen I used, it does not smudge. :)

God used this to describe himself, we are not God and should not ascribe Gods name to us. That’s what Eve desired - she was deceived by Satan with the idea to ‘be like God’ - that act of wanting autonomy and rebellion is why the world has fallen. We should not be doing I AM affirmations. It’s seeing ourselves through a Christ that we feel comfort and not making it happen ourselves through our own thoughts, the bible says our hearts are deceitful so we should follow Christ and trust his plans for us. Not be concerned so much about our appearance but rather on Christ. Affirmations are new age and new thought these are not biblical 😔
@AmandaSchenkenberger
@AmandaSchenkenberger 2 года назад
Hi Josephine, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I truly appreciate those who are seeking God and wanting to live in His will. However, I'm not sure you listened to my video or tried to understand what I said. I never said we should ascribe God's name to ourselves, however, if you call yourself a Christian, that's what you do. Christian means "little Christ". Eve never used an affirmation in Scripture with the serpent and using an affirmation that's Biblical like I describe in the video only echos what the Word, therefore God, says about you. Eve doubted God's Word and yes, was deceived and fell for the idea of wanting to be "like God". Your argument doesn't translate because it's not related. If you think we should not being doing "I am" affirmations, then I hope you don't introduce yourself as "I am Josephine." Or describe yourself (or anyone else for that matter) using "I am" or "You are" statements. <---If this isn't what you meant but you meant we shouldn't use the I AM statements that God uses for Himself, then we agree because I never said that. "It’s seeing ourselves through a Christ that we feel comfort and not making it happen ourselves through our own thoughts, the bible says our hearts are deceitful so we should follow Christ and trust his plans for us." There's a lot to unpack here but I will simply encourage you to read Romans 12:1-2. We are to renew our thoughts to God's Word like He tells us. Reading your Bible = replacing your own thoughts with God's thoughts. If you aren't doing this, you won't know God's will for your life (again, read Romans 12:1-2). Also, how do you follow Christ and trust His plan without reading His Word and renewing your mind to it? PS- The heart and mind are different. Not sure what you mean about "our appearance" because I am talking about a heart change that reflects that you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. It is Scriptural to love God with your mind. Read Luke 10:27. And again, like I said in the video, affirmations are not NEW. God has been using them for thousands of years. If another religion uses them (or steals them in my opinion), it does not make them wrong. Lots of religions pray, that doesn't make prayer wrong. They simply are parroting a really amazing thing that God created for their own purposes. Again, I do appreciate you taking the time to reply and I wish you the best and most intimate relationship with Christ because He is so incredible and amazing and is everything we will ever need. And no, I will not be replying further.
@SomeoneSaidinTheComments
@SomeoneSaidinTheComments 2 года назад
@@AmandaSchenkenberger Thank you for replying! I think U did use both in negative and positive context. Affirmations are born in New age practices and new age practices are anti biblical and we can’t call it Christian affirmations and it will be ok It’s like saying I’m a Christian witch. We should fully reply on God alone (like a small child as the bible says) for feeling good and confident , for making sure we don’t hurt people feelings with our negative attitudes etc. we get our worth and improving ourself through Him by Prayer and trusting in Him rather than using our own words and Neuroplasticity. A Christian means you follow Christ, not a ‘little Christ’ , that’s touching on the little god doctrine which is a heresy. We are not be Christ, we are to be like him which is a huge difference. Yes Eve never used an affirmation but her desire was that of wanting to be as God and that was what we do when we say I Am everytime to make ourselves like God- albeit unknowingly. Jesus used I Am to identify himself as God so we should understand the holiness of that name. I’m afraid Introducing myself as I am Josephine is not the same in affirmations which are used to manifest something, not the same thing. It’s a statement as your rightfully said. I referred to appearance as those where the positive or negative statements you highlighted - why not speaking forgiveness and sanctification, salivation for the lost, food for the poor? Etc. maybe I just used a poor example? Our words weather they are positive or negative don’t have some super power that Makes our lives go one way or another, that is only a space for God. We are not to try and be like God and he doesn’t use affirmations, He speaks in authority and power to make things happens as creator and sustainer of the universe, which we cannot do. God did not ‘use’ and I Am stamens, he identified himself as the all and be all and will ever be, the only one, it’s unique to Him alone. All other pagan Gods had names and it was a way of Him showing Abraham that he alone is the one true God by saying my name is I AM, that he cannot be known like a named pagan God and that he is above that. the Bible is very clear that "negative confession" does not negate God’s blessings. The Psalms are filled with cries to God for deliverance, and Psalm 55:22 and 1 Peter 5:7 exhort us follow that example. Even Jesus went before the Heavenly Father with a clear eye on the situation and a request for aid (Matthew 26:39). The God of the Bible is not a cosmic Santa Claus (James 4:1-3). People who push positive confession say that the practice is merely restating God’s promises as given in the Bible. But they don’t differentiate between universal promises God made to all His followers (e.g., Philippians 4:19) and personal promises made to individuals at a certain time for a particular purpose (e.g., Jeremiah 29:11). They also misinterpret the promises God does give us, refusing to accept that God’s plan for our lives may not match up with our own (Isaiah 55:9). A carefree, perfect life is the antithesis of what Jesus said the Christian life would look like-and the lives that His followers lived. Jesus didn’t promise prosperity; He promised hardship (Matthew 8:20). He didn’t promise that our every want would be fulfilled; He promised we’d have what we need (Philippians 4:19). He didn’t promise peace in a family; He promised that families would have problems as some chose to follow Him and some didn’t (Matthew 10:34-36). And He didn’t promise health; He promised to fulfill His plan for us and grace in the trials (2 Corinthians 12:7-10). You seem like a very peaceful and gracious person, and all these words are meant in love ❤️.
