Yup! We draw a lot of inspiration from chess. We have some cards with the 'Bishop' trait. This allows us to make these cards stronger than they would otherwise be (as is the case with this ranged sniper here) since you have to work with a movement/attack restriction.
IDK, I like the way they look. The cards have kind of a 'weighty' feel. Like stone tablets or something. Feels different from other TCGs for sure in that way, but its cool IMO. I kind of hope they keep it. I'm really here for the tactics and deckbuilding though, so I am happy either way.
I really hope the card design changes. Not the specifically the artwork on the cards, but the the text on it and the borders. They don't look appealing.
Game looks promising, but the art on the cards are non-appealing to me. Maybe it's because of low resolution. I also don't like how the cards (borders, text on the cards, etc...) look. They don't look like proper TCG cards. I am glad to learn there's lore behind the game. However, the core gameplay and the deck-building aspect is brilliant and interesting. If this ever becomes successful, this game can be made into a board game and a TCG and maybe even into a mobile version. I am excited to try it out.
