Hi Pam..I found your channel after I saw your name mentioned in the Lebenzon paint brush e-mail. I recognized your name because I think we were in Angela Fehrs Heart Led community around the same time. I love this little palette and think I’d like to get a few as party favors!
Laughing out loud funny!❤ Inks are do much fun, like a box of chocolates, you never know until you write with them! Love the pens you have been collecting as well! TY.😊
I’m so excited at how far you’ve gone down the “ink hole”. Yayyy! Saw the Delta Duna on Atlas but in the end decided not to get. That same Hongdian M2 has been in my Amazon cart for so long and the only reason I haven’t bought it yet is I still can’t decide which one I want to get, the brown, green or blue. Beginning to think now that I just need to get all considering I have 11 Jinhao pens 😂
Welcome to falling down the rabbit hole! I’ll be here to catch you when you land! What a beautiful watercolour book you created! I especially love the yellow flowers. How did you bind it without sewing? I haven’t made a notebook yet. That’s a great idea to use Arches paper, that way you’ll have a high quality product that’s portable. I _love_ Galen Leather’s pieces! They’re a true work of art! I have the writing desk along with the leather carrying strap. When I’m writing at coffee shops or the library etc., it’s a huge conversation starter for others who like fountain pens, journaling and painting as well. I’m sure you’ll meet lots of nice people on your adventures when you’re carrying around your travellers notebook case. 😊
@@ILoveFountainPensCdn 😘. Thank you! It’s kinda fun down the rabbit hole! I just cut the pages to the size I needed to fit the journal and folded them. So actually there is no binding. I slide it into my journal elastics and it’s great! If I need new pages, I just cut and fold and add, sliding out the pages that are finished. Oh! And by the way does the fountain pen and ink actually have a landing? 😉😂. I seem to be in the “doing need another pen, really?” Tunnel of the warren…❤️. Thanks for watching!
@@followyourbrush It does have a landing…thank goodness! You’re not constantly running around like Alice in Wonderland, hearing, “Off With Her Wallet…and Head!” 😂😅 It’s good to set priorities of what’s important to you. For myself, I like having various nibs that write extremely smoothly, some people like sticking with one primary brand and nib, and collecting all of the variations of it (ie: Sailors, Kawecos, Twisbis etc.). It’s also important to decide for yourself what’s important in regards to ink and paper. There are some standard brands like Pilot iroshizuku, Montblanc, Pelikan edelstein and Robert Oster that are excellent. Even though it’s much more expensive by ml, samples are a good idea if you want to try out an ink to see if you like it or not, before committing to a whole bottle. The websites mountainofink.com and inkswatch.com are excellent resources, as are Brian and Drew’s weekly videos on youtube, under Goulet pens. Also, if you’re on instagram, I’m there under ilovefountainpens. 😊
Thank you for sharing, Pam. Stenciling is fun. Like you, it amazes me how some stencils work and others don't. Playing is the only way to find out what works and what doesn't. Love the paint tin!😊
Well I was very nicely surprised to see you pop up in my subs video list. All I have to say is…..Wooooooohoooooo!!! I loved hearing about how you got started and the reference to your mum made me tear up. What a beautiful tribute to her. 1 more thing to say…..MORE, MORE, MORE! (please ‘n thx) 😊🥰🥸 Oh yeh, thanks for the shoutout! Mwah!
@@wildlyimaginable oh thank you! I had to give you props! 😉😘. By the way, I also opened two new pens, not on the video. 😊. An Opus 88 mini, Grumpy Cat Cafe, M nib. I inked it with Noodlers Golden Brown. And…Opus 88 mini Love in Bloom, F nib inked with Sailors 680, kinda pinky rose brown color. 😂 my first eye droppers, so I had to watch a video on the “how to” by Goldspot. Got them both writing beautifully! 😉. Hugs!
The little bitty palette is from Art Toolkit. They make these little palettes, about the size of a credit card, with little pans you can fill. They are magnetic, and are easily carried in a travel bag!
Hey Pam! We just had our 38 yr wedding Anniversary so I bought the A Gallo 48 set and plan to add to it. I love the paints they are my most loved set. I have most of the other high quality brands but A Gallo is my first handmade watercolor. I love watercolor I use to work with oil back when it had a strong odor but I have fur babies so switched to watercolor which was hard for me at first but now I would not want to work with anything else. I am happy to find your channel! Love and light to you!
Good morning! Thank you so much for watching! Congratulations on your new set! Enjoy! Trivia bit of info. You mentioned your fur babies, my black cat is obsessed with the wrappers from A Gallo and plays with them all over the house, he cries if he loses one. Seal of approval! ❤️ Thanks again!
Finally got a chance to watch one of you painting videos. Loved the contrast of the wet and dry sides but you're right, that lavender sky on the wet side was the bomb indeed.
