Despite this being the type species of the genus Sphyrna, they are surprisingly seldom seen and quite mysterious. It is also the second largest species of hammerhead, and possibly also the 4th largest predatory shark after the great white, tiger, and great hammerhead.
This was awesome! I am glad you guys are doing work on these beautiful creatures. I would love to see a video where you guys go over the results of your research
This is an amazing short film, it's so inspiring what change can happen once people start caring, because no matter how big or how small anyone can make a difference, ocean & marine life conservation is super important, my grandmother who has passed on loved the ocean & the Seychelles, she inspired me, now my connection with the ocean also honors her, I always wanted to be a marine biologist, but life had other plans for me & now I make a difference in my own unique way to help better our oceans & raise awareness. 💙🌊
Beautiful ❤ thank you for all that you’ve done and keep doing to protect our oceans. This gives me so much hope for our oceans and all that call his their home ❤❤
keep up the beautiful work - it's so important. Thank you for what you do.... it's meaningful and impactful.. My prayer is that people stop eating them, so all life has a chance to thrive in the chain of our ecosystem, which also affects humans. Bravo. Continue, please.
This is beautiful and made me very emotional. Our world is so incredible it moves me so much. Nature is everything <3 The fact that there are some people in the world that care makes me regain faith in humanity.
There is nothing sadder than seeing a shark tossed in the ocean without it's fins to drown. There never has been anything more evil on this earth than man and there never will be. We deserve extinction and I hope for the planet that happens.
What a poignant video All the money we waste on war and weapons should be funneled into the equipment the people need to research and study the environment and provide solutions. The world’s collective values need to be reset .. we need and evolution of thought and action. I fear it will be too late before that is realized. It may be too late already
Fascinating work James. I applaud your efforts. The images of the finned sharks on the sea floor should shock the conscience of any rational person. I have spent a lot of time on the water, and like you have often considered that sharks have been on Earth for hundreds of millions of years and we, humans, could wipe them out in just a few decades. Truly a sad frightening thought.
So the atoll`s mangrove forest is still a dangerous place, despite the absence of the saltwater crocodiles which, some scientists have claimed, used to entertain a tiny outpost in the Seychelles ?
