Does the actual membrane remove it? Or only the carbon? (I'm a dialysis nurse and I'm trying to verify something I was told... that the membrane doesn't remove chloramines.)
What's the resin life expectancy if you use a activated carbon pre-filter? Also does ResCare help extend the life or does it just improve overall performance?
My Whirlpool water softener worked great for 9 yrs. Then I started getting a lot of white buildup on my plumbing fixtures (faucets, etc.) I had my water softener tank and brine well cleaned and the medium (beads) dumped and replaced with new. Unfortunately, I am still getting the white build up on my faucets 3 months later. The water tests ok (soft) and I have recharged the water softener three times (with cleaner) but it still keeps happening. What is the problem?
i just bought a home on a well with water softener system and the slimy-ness is driving me crazy. i actually dont notice or mind it in a shower but doing the dishes I just feel like i cant wash the slime off, its a weird feeling when ive had city water my entire like of 38 years prior. the dishes just feel slimy and wet, is this just the way its going to be going forward or is there an option?

I hate the feel of soft water. It makes me cringe we have city water in its soft is there any inline filter that I can attach to my house did not down the softness is that even a thing
Honest at least , thanks.. Have a Dupure under sink and external water softener (2006 house) and usually a $300 visit to check my Water softener and spin the filters every year, but I think they are going out of business as I see their service number (in Houston) changing frequently .... AT least need to change the RO under sink , Many makes and Marques, any suggestions ?
Nice video and explanation. thanks! My water became way too slippery. TDS meter reads at 200 (after the acid neutralizer and water softener) with high PH of 9+). TDS read after the RO system cut it to 13. The TDS reads in the house are higher than the row well water. Im confused. soft/slippery water should have low TDS read.....
