We're a group of family and friends located in Northeast Missouri. I created this channel to record and show people what we do to make a living. I hope you enjoy our videos.
So a John Deere 4640 was designed to be used in a bean are corn field pulling a set of discs? Are it could be used in the hay field? I always heard aww ya don’t need a big ole tractor like that in the hay field but if I was in the cattle business I would use it in the hay field it’s really not over kill at 150hp
I agree 💯 I knew someone was in the bean farming business they had a John Deere 4640 they use it to pull disc in the bean field then they got out of the bean farming business and got in the cattle business and he sold his John Deere 4640 I ask him why you didn’t keep it he said awww you don’t need a big ole tractor like that in the hay field I thought to myself it ain’t that much overkill
I was wondering this I’ve been watching your channel for a minute what generation is your farm? You seem to be above a 4 plus because of how nice and large your operation is.
Most of our ground we farm is rented. My grandpa started this farm in 1984 and built it the best he could through the years. He was a one man operation for several years until I started helping him in 2015.
I was fortunate enough to live in northeast Missouri near Williamstown growing up in the mid to late 1960’s. How I miss riding the combine around with the local farmers. Those were farmers in the truest sense in all weather.
Nice video I'm over here in North Central Missouri this year's going to be my first corn harvest to. Don't think I will video any of my corn harvest though hits on conservation ground and the deer and dry weather really hurt the yield
We run a 30ft head on ours. They call these legacy combines now. Gotta watch what model head you get. The newer ones will not connect to the feeder house right.
Love the black screens and painting the back and under the cab black. To bad Deere did not offer black screen on the large 40 through the 60 series tractors. Only the 2955's had the black screens.
Where’s your googles!! Also roll the cuff of your gloves if you get liquid to run down the glove it will catch it instead of rolling onto you arm and burning
