I know right! I started there but ended finding about an inch before it bottoms out seems to be the sweet spot on mine 20 meters is pretty much flat SWR.
Great news is any double din radio will fit so sky is the limit I provided a link in the details where you can get the install kit which is the wiring harness adapter and the little side brackets to make it fit nice and clean..
Thanks for this video! It was helpful to see your steps repeated and so interesting that the new break wasn't in a glue joint. Hope it held up for you... now off to glue my glass stovetop! Thanks again
I'm so glad you peeled off the monitor protective screen. It gives me anxiaty just watching reviews/box openings where they boot the thing up and leave the protective shipping film ontop of everything ... I can't jump through the screen and peel it, so my blood pressure goes through the roof and I have to switch off and go find a roll of cellotape or something to calm myself down. (I'm joking ofc ... well exagerating .. kind of) xD
I bought the adapter kit comes with the wiring adapters and mounts it list Scion but if you look up the kit number it also fits a 2006 Tundra amzn.to/46kKPIr
@@mekhiwilliams6737 It's a pretty easy fix if you're handy with cutting and splicing a few wires. You just need to wire around the factory car amp. Do a search for "wire around factory car amp" to find some helpful videos. Basically, you need to wire the speakers directly to the new deck. On non-premium models, the speakers are already directly wired since there is no amp. Sometimes, you can still use the factory amp if you can find the inputs to wire it in
Life saver..... That was annoying. Is there a way to have Bluetooth and hotspot connected at the same time? Annoying you have to have Bluetooth off to connect it to your phone hotspot to get apps or anything internet related
I looked for a video yesterday morning , didn't see it , I do now .... I have never seen a tranny mod like that with 1 diode .... 4 or 5 diodes yes .... I know the guy that donated it to Secret CB books years ago .... I found the file for the cobra 148 Sams I'll send it to you in later this evening ... New meters look great ...
Thanks yeah I am still trying to figure that mod out to me it really didn't seem to do anything. I am thinking maybe they were trying to up the current on the driver even that is so, it sure was was done in such a sketchy way to say the least.
@@TheElectronMan The diode mod drops the voltage by .5 or .6 volt depending on the diode in use , 4 diodes in series knocks the voltage down 2 volts or so and keeps the swing ..... I used to put those in radios years ago until Hangnail a local technician came up with the Stinger Mod ....
@Budro4764 thank you I have been scratching my head on it now it makes sense and I checked output it was down about a half watt but I didn't check the swing. I would have left it had it been done better but bare wires right next to chassis it had to be taken out.
What kinda trailer are you hauling? I thought they said towing too much weight was bad for the transmission. Figure the pin would suffice items light enough for a lawn mower.
I have a small 5 ft. x 8 ft. Mesh Floor Utility Trailer with a 1 7/8 ball hitch is why I went with the adapter. I use it to move lumber around the property and clean up brush the mower pulls it just fine BTW.
