I think the problem is that Ford and other manufacturers didn’t think we would clear the first procedure after I didn’t work. Had I not kept clearing the first training method, it would have worked. Thanks for the help. I’m commenting multiple times and liking to get this more relevancy in the algorithm. Excellent video. This is why the RU-vid platform/community is fantastic: the PEOPLE!!!

Adding this text so people with the same problem find your answer, because it worked. This worked for pairing a Chamberlain 1/2hp garage door opener with red learning button (rolling code) to Homelink on a 2010 Toyota Venza. I did all of the above, plus I changed the CR2032 battery in the remote. I also did the first part (teaching Homelink the opener code) when I was out of range of the garage. When I came back, the Learn light was blinking orange. I pressed it, and the opener blinker once and then Homelink now works in my Venza.
My screws don't have the plastic washers. I'm guessing someone added that as extra because I bought new covers and they didn't come with the washers. Also, the screws being sold online don't appear to come with the washers either. I like the idea of having them because less risk of overtightening/cracking the cover. My previous cover had cracks on most of the screw holes. I added some rubber washers but they disintegrated after a few days.
Wish I could help more here -- if the sprayer is never fully stopping, I would suspect the mechanism which I show the repair on isn't fully closing. Honestly even phone call to a local plumber might give you advice on it, or even the local home hardware plumbing dept rep. Hope you figure it out.
Thanks for this video. As all the other comments have stated, this is what finally worked for me too. I first tried doing it without the remote control (using the learn button on the garage opener), since I didn’t have access to it at the time (it was in my wife’s car) but it didn’t work. Finally got the remote and it worked the first time.

Sorry to hear :( Are you able to try one of the "cheap" (~$15-20) programmable remote controls ... if you can program that universal remote to your garage door opener, it might be an option for your homelink to learn from ... if you can't program that then it might point you towards your garage unit. I'm really speculating here, but it's one of the things I tried to ensure that the garage door opener was learnable.
Appreciate the vid. My issue is the stopper won’t screw into the base to be able to pull it and change the faucet to the shower head and I can’t figure out why. Any suggestions?

So many things VEGAs should just do by default but doesn't. You also need to set Auto-Ripple to 'Affected Tracks, Bus Tracks, Markers and Regions' or 'All Tracks, Markers and Regions'.
Putting this here to help others in 2023+. I have a 2010 Land Rover and a 2013 Elantra. I installed a new Chamberlain side mounted garage door opener in 2020 and had to buy the Homelink Repeater to get the vehicle’s Homelink to work with the new garage door opener. It worked great. Then we moved in 2023. I brought my Homelink Repeater with me to the new house and installed a new side mounted garage. I setup my existing Homelink Repeater and no dice. I called Homelink and they said due to a lawsuit by Genie that Chamberlain lost they had to change the algorithm they were using in their new garage door openers in 2022. Any existing Homelink Repeaters do not support this new 2022+ algorithm. Homelink released a new version of their Homelink Repeater in 2022 that supports 2022+ garage door openers from Chamberlain. This new unit has a model number of RPTRMC. The “MC” suffix indicates this new version. I threw out my old version and purchased this new one and it worked perfectly first try. I hope that helps at least one other person from losing their mind. :)
I’m a hotel maintenance man and we just got a remodel done and the construction crew did something with the showers because everyone is only getting cold water and this seems to be the issue. Now I just gotta do every single room 😭

0:33 - I can't even get the remote that came with the opener to work. Fresh battery in all. Nothing. Garage opens fine with wall switch on inside. Can you get Homelink to work without a working remote?
No direct experience in debugging that problem, but you are supposed to be able to add remotes to most openers with the learning button on the remote. I believe there are even "universal" garage door opener remotes available so in theory this should be possible. If no remotes are working wirelessly you might have an issue with the garage door unit unfortunately.
@@kalsorcwow thank you. ordered new universal remote. if that doesn't work, going with new logic board for unit. maybe it got fried during a power outage long ago - lessoned learned for not having a surge protector for that outlet. 🤦♂
After several hours of trying the operator's manual, getting extremely impatient, this worked for me. Less than 10 minutes had both doors working correctly! Thanks
I just used your proceedure to program my daughters Ford Escape Built in remote after we changed the openers to a Liftmaster door Opener. Your two step method worked. I thnk I know why we had to do this twice. Depending on the manufacture, the remotes will operate on different frequencies, commonly around 315 MHZ. The frequency is different on the new opener. I confirmed this using SDR Sharp a computer application that provides a very wide band RF spectrum analyzer. So, when we perform step one, the car built in remote recognizes the new frequency and remembers this as the frequency to transmit on. Now with this set, we now can push the learn button on the actual door opener, and it will communicate properly with car remote. Strange that this is not explained online anywhere that I could find.
