The appearance and even the sound tells me that you are using an aluminum fry pan. A good time back now it was discovered that some of the aluminum is absorbed into the food, thus we consume it. Not good! It is believed that this metal contributes to the likelihood of Alzheimer disease. I love my old faithful cast iron even with this some of the metal can be absorbed by the foods cooked in it but in this case a little extra iron add to the diet is not a bad thing even good for those tending to be anemic. Please anyone, do a little research and switch out your old aluminum cookware for that which would be healthier.

I thought as it should have been, a comment on Chicken ala-king, not a platform about aluminum pans and causing disease. I always respect peoples opinions and believe people have a right to comment or voice their opinions, but this is a food channel and not disease control. You should go to google and learn the facts and then perhaps you can have a you tube channel on disease/ disease control and attract a following on alike views. Good luck to you. By the way, b4 I wrote this answer I went to google to see what you meant and I found the opposite to what you claimed on my channel. Stay Safe

how did u get the money if u dont have a US bank account? My grandparents are in the Philippines
@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 3 года назад
I have a US bank account, however the US government will also mail the checks to Philippines(it takes a long time) but it's difficult to cash,,but if you have a Phil. bank they may be able to deposit it and wait for it to clear and the bank will deposit the funds once the checks clear. Maybe the easiest way would be to open a US savings account. It can be done online, then they can do deposits on the cellphone. If they did the US bank account, they could use your address as their mailing address then you get their checks, take a picture of the front and back and email it to them and they go online to account hit deposit a check take a picture of front and back of check and done money in the bank. They can get a debit card with the account have direct deposit and it the easier way. I know it's a lot for older people to do but it's money. Did they retire here? Hope it helps.
@onysitv3671
@onysitv3671 3 года назад
@@GoodCitizen66 yes they retired there. we sent them the check, but the banks in the Philippines (PNB) wont let them open a bank account unless they deposit $500 dollars first, and this is before clearing the check. But the idea of opening an online savings is not a bad idea. I thought about having her sign it and take a picture of it, so I can deposit it into my bank account then wire the money thru Western Union, but that could be problematic and flagged as theft. I dont know how strict IRS is about this. Its risky.
@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 3 года назад
The bank is the one who won't allow you to clear their checks. But it's very easy to open a US bank account, even paypal has accounts and with direct deposit also,,very easy also. I also use wells fargo. But they should have gotten all 3 stimulus checks,,,did they?
@onysitv3671
@onysitv3671 3 года назад
@@GoodCitizen66 we sent her the first paycheck, but we still have their other paycheck here. we didnt wanna send all of it at once because we didnt want them to get lost. The only concern about mobile deposit is that some only limit to as low as $600 dollars like Chase, but I'm not sure about Online banks like Paypal. At this point, I think we should just forge her signature and do it this way. The checks are sitting here in the US, because we do not know how to cash them out without her being here to sign the back of it.
@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 3 года назад
You can sign her name but you still have no bank to cash them, and your bank won't do it. How ever you can add her as a user on your account and then you can deposit the checks, get a debit card send it to her. But what about her regular social security Checks,,how does she get that?

@GoodCitizen66

Hi Jacqueline, sorry for the delay. The corn I roast for corn coffee is field corn, same corn that is used for livestock feed. You can buy from distributors or you can by from a corn grower, which is the cheapest way and only costs as low as p15 per kilo, when you buy a sack witch is 50 kilo

@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 4 года назад
Hi Sarah, first of all, don't use 🍿 your kitchen will be filled. As far as the visual effect coming through the video, the grind is the consistency of flour, and I think a French press will be great for corn coffee. I don't know the type of grinder you will use but for home use a coffee bean grinder will do good and for a little larger quantity a good blender is suitable. For me since I sell this coffee I get orders upwards of 100 kilos so I have levels of grinders to suit each need. I fine sift all coffee 2 times for quality and consistency. Try to google corn coffee and see many benefits for health as well as how to. I hope this helps you, and I wish you well for whatever level you choose for corn coffee, find a wholesaler for dried field corn, off the cobb, it can be had for as low as .10 /.20 per kilo, (2.2lbs.) Feel free to contact me, anytime, keep in mind I am in the Philippines but from Florida USA Good luck Stay Safe

Ok, you want them to appear like very dark chocolate almost black but keep your nose open not to burn and pay attention of your roast time and your heat because when you hit the point of your perfect, you will repeate everything you did The readon you need to go dark is 2 fold, 1 the inside of the kernels are light brown so mixed with the dark outside gives you your premium appearance as well as the taste. Don't share your techniques with anyone if you plan to sell your coffee. And you will hahaha How much you pay for your corn? Message me anytime Peace, Bill Stay Safe

Hi Joe, how are you? I tried to make at home but even using regular corn (not popcorn) some beans are still popping. Is there a special corn or a specific moisture to roast?
@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 4 года назад
Marcio, the corn you use for corn coffee is called field corn, primarily used for animal feed. You can find it in farmers markets or google it. I am in the Philippines and buy it for P15 pisos, equal to about .30 cents usd. per kilo or 2.2 pounds ( very cheap) now if you roast for yourself I suggest to buy some sweet corn ears, cut the kernels off the cobb,, roadt them either in a heavy pan or the oven on a tray until rich brown color, stiring very often. For me it's a very clean and nice flavor. Of course if you want to market the coffee then use field corn( stil good). As for popping som kernels will pop to like popcorn but for the most part, weather it's corn or coffee beans there will be some snaps going on,,,,they call it first crack and second crack, it's where the moisture starts to leave the bean or kernel as it becomes very dry. First crack will be a sound like rice crispies when you add milk(you really need to listen)when you get to second crack you are done and your color should be nice chocolate brown, which is the true tell all for when to pull your corn from the heat. Feel free to ask anything on the process, as I have the answers Thanks Bill Best Regards

Hello Bill, your video is very interesting and your detachment in helping people is very admirable. Congratulations! I wonder if you have ever roasted the corn in a coffee roaster or just in conventional ovens.
@GoodCitizen66
@GoodCitizen66 4 года назад
Hi Marcio, thank you so very much for your very kind words. I believe if we are to show people how to do something, we shall show and tell all so that they may achieve the same results as you claim they will. If there are secrets your not willing to share, then do not claim to show and make videos. Ok, having said that, I will tell you that most conventional coffee bean roasters are to small to roast corn for production, but just for personal use, they are perfect and all of the procedures are the same right down to the first and second crack of the bean as it roasts. For me once I mastered the corn coffee roasting, I built my own roaster which would roast anything to perfection with ease and always the same quality, because I roasted quantities, my roaster would roast 10 kilos in a single batch. Because I now live in the Philippines I roasted in many methods because here most people don't have ovens, some don't have stoves, and cook in open fire or cooktop burners. I wanted to be able to help people in whatever environment they were in since my main intention was suggesting a business to create income with little capital. Thank you again for your kind words and if you need further help, feel free to contact me. I am always available. Happy Holidays Bill
