I cannot wait to get this bike i wanna upgrade the suspension fork and rear shock and eventually save enough for like a 52v or 60v conversion should be ordering my bike next week cannot wait . Will help getting back and forth to work
I have a piece of junk mountain bike 21 speed that's stuck in 18... Because it's old and it's so old that I don't feel like repairing it because it was already a cheap Walmart bike to begin with And it gets a job done Like you I don't have a big enough front chain ring I need a 52 tooth to go faster.... But no electricity under human power only with three speed traps along the way to my job I register between 18 and 20 mph... If it doesn't do more than I do on human power... Then I might as well just go by 100.00 Walmart bike
Im thinking of saving for one of these, since it seems insanely good for the price in my opinion. After researching more ive seen lots of people talking about terrible customer service, and faulty units. Have you had any problems so far after posting this?
Customer service has been responsive for me. I had an issue with the g60 and they got back to me with a solution quickly. No problems after 300 miles on the s8
I have Happyrun G50 - pedals wells, lacks torque of amyet and ridstar. Amyet V9 G60 is my favorite bike overall for comfort, looks, speed, display etc.. Brakes are a bit squirrelly. front squeaks and both I have to squeeze to handles.. but I suppose I need to adjust them. Ridstar is pretty solid, similiar performance to amyet but terrible to pedal and hydralic breaks to me on ridstar are not that great or worth it over mechanical to me. ridstar you have to bend over more , not having the bmx style handlebar. Overall Amyet and Ridstar are best choices.
Just ordered their new model, the S6. My Ridstar Q20 just got stolen after about 700 miles. I loved it but as a bigger dude (6'2" 275lbs) I found the power/range lacking at times. For $1500 the S6 comes with dual 52v 25AH batteries and the same dual 1000w motors as the S8. So as long as I get a good one and there aren't any defects/missing parts, it should be like an S8 on steroids. Now to find a much sturdier lock/chain...
Yeah that's the tough part. I want a cool ebike, but the cooler it is the more someone wants to take it lol. I think I'm gonna get one of the rotor locks with an alarm to supplement a decent chain and padlock.

I have 3 bikes. Happyrun is more comforable not as much torque. Happyrun pedals great and so does Amyet i have , but the Ridstar is worst to pedal. I like the brakes, power and looks of ridstar. So overall Ridstar is one of the top bikes. I prefer a bmx style handlebar ( to not have to bend over at all) Ridstar, Amyet are good torque Amyet screen is better and nicer to pedal and has bmx style. Amyet i do have squeaky brakes. Headlight on ridstar and amyet both great happyrun headlight sucks
On the ridstar website I found the Q20 with a 1500W motor. Is that a later version or something . Im between the Q20/1500W and the Jansno X70/750W . My commute and generally my area has a lot of uphills , I would benefit for more wattage and therefore more torque to climb those hills right ?
They don’t. Just this one . There is of course the standard L20 or the L20 SE or the new L20 boost but it’s the L20 2.0 what I want and they don’t sell it in Europe due to the battery size.
