Can i ask what mods you made Lòoks great. Where did you get the spinner and the droop wing tips? Also the cowling looks exstended for a taylorcraft. How and what. Id like to do simular to a taylorcraft i just purchased?
Hey man loved the video! I have a backcountry/bush channel on twitch flying MSFS I would love to have one or both of you guys on to talk about aviation. Hit me up lets talk!
Great video! My family farm is on the Arkansas River just north of Pine Bluff. I live in northwest Mississippi in the Memphis area now. Love your Tcraft stuff - and that "supercraft" looks awesome! I have a Taylorcraft too... a BC-12D 85 that I restored and fly on the Mississippi River. We need to hook up!
I'm restoring a tailorcraft with a bunch of STC's. And field approvals currently. I'm assuming you went experimental with this one. How do I accomplish that.
You should come down to 27XS for our Veteran Aviator fundraiser on 4 May. We can fly the Brazos river beds and go down and land on a private beach at the Gulf.
Usually if the tailwheel is at the wrong angle, shimmy will develop. (like a shopping cart wheel does) A flattened out tailspring with a regular tailwheel set up will cause it. Maybe worth having a look at the angle of the tailwheel pivot.
The cockpit camera is surprisingly quiet, almost can't hear the engine at all. I'd be interested in a video showing your cameras and recording setup. Well done!
Yes please show all the mods to that taylorcraft . Id like to do the same to a taylorcraft i just purchaced. Probably a bit smaĺler alaskan bush tires , but id like to know which prop , prop spinner , droop wing tips, and engine your using . Changes to the cowling if any. Looks great
Dude, people want to see the view looking forward when coming into land. Switch the camera from looking at you to looking outside. Sorry but you are not that interesting. The view is way more interesting for the viewers.
How much air are you running in these bushwheels? I have an experimental pacer with 31s that I run 7.5 psi in, Also for pavement ops I coated them in herculiner. seems to help with the longevity of the tires. Probably will trigger some armchair pilots but if it works, why not!
Apples and oranges. I have 29s on my 180. I run 7.5psi for bars and the beach and 15 for pavement. I haven’t had any serious wear on them yet (50ish hours)
