The Bishop for WV did not allow the churches use the disaffiliation rules that was set up and made us do it in a way that costs us to pay more to get out. All 5 churches in our parish are now out and our membership is growing.
People need to be VERY CAREFUL these days. Thirty years ago, when my father was having surgery to remove a cancerous bladder, he was told to stop drinking water 24 hours before surgery. When he arrived for admission the morning of the surgery and a nurse brought him a big cup of water, my mother spoke up and said NO WATER. It turned out that the hospital "had my father down" as going into surgery to have his KIDNEY removed! WRONG ORGAN! I'm sure that my Dad was speaking up too, but if not for my mother, this surgery could have proved fatal.
I live in NYC but i grew up in pc, fl and went to new covenant church in st. joe so knowing how small the town is and being close with a lot of the families and some ex shark players, this hits home😢...r.i.p. baby boy... condolences to the family
It is sad that you are the only one who has commented on this story or post. This was tragic beyond and he was a great kid and I found out about it from the owner of WZEP radio as they broadcast the football games. What a major loss for this community and the world for that matter.

A surgeon in an operating room with a minimum of 5 people and no one noticed the man was on the right side instead of the left? WTF were they all smoking? Who was handing him the instruments???
I wonder at what point was the mistake noticed? 🤔 The assistant (PA, 1st assist, or Surg Tech) should have noticed the error. Once removed, another person, the scrub tech, should’ve noticed it. And finally, the RN removing the specimen from the sterile field should’ve caught it. As an RN with OR experience, I cannot believe a surgeon would mistake those 2 organs!!! 😮

The family is not claiming anything. It's a known fact what happened to him. I wished she would have been adamant and took her husband home since she's a retired nurse and had spoken to their doctor back in Alabama.
Tragically, a patient scheduled for a splenectomy, recently had their liver removed, resulting in the death of that patient. I believe I could design a system that could help prevent such tragedies. 33 years ago n 1991, I designed the computerized patient record keeping and hospital barcode system currently being employed in nearly every hospital and major medical center around the world, sadly without recognition nor any compensation, whatsoever. I presented my system to my managers under KODAK, EASTMAN Medical and UR, who made and kept me a slave of the worldwide medical industry over the last 33 years. Absolutely disgraceful! The hospital is at fault also. They are awful about holding incompetent or even murderous staff accountable. He should have lost his license after the first wrong site F-up. Instead they covered it up, had him pay a fine and continued in the same fashion. Ridiculous!
