From rippin' lips on the jon boat and beating banks for some LARGIES all the way to saddle hunting for white-tail and stomping some woods for squirrels. Allow me to share my outdoor experiences, to better yours.
Dude im thinking of going kayaking in Saltwater this Oct 14-16 at Galveston State park. (Would be my first saltwater kayaking trip) I seen your Abu Garcia bait caster and i got the same one! It’s a damn sign that i should deff go!
I'm going to try and get my kids out there this December. Told them to be ready to be in line at 3:30am 😂 hope to make it out to scout some spots. Do you get assigned to an area or can you just head to your area you scouted? Hit The Sam this morning. Saw 4 squirrels but my 3rd born son got his first squirrel and we're hooked 😆
@@jamesrichards7052 I haven’t man, always wanted to check it out but I’m determined to get something in SHNF before I venture off. Also, it’s pretty close to my house. Thanks for watching!
@@jamesrichards7052 yea that’s true! I’ve scoured it out a couple times and did notice less pressure. But that’s a 2hr drive compared to 1hr for me. You ever go to Davy Crocket? I’ve heard good things about that
@@breannacanales4824 in my opinion dove is the most entry level hunting to get in the sport. Very accessible and very affordable. Check this video out, I show everything I use. Thanks for watching and good luck out there! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sUdIqTiMBUg.htmlsi=s54cEcSDPr7iUKqd
Feel ya man. I went out yesterday opening bow weekend, and some ahole on dirtbike decides to do laps for 2 hours. I moved locations and while walking heard the shuffle and hop through brush too thick to send an arrow through.
@@displacedredneck I feel that! Sat out Saturday but didn’t see anything. Hoping to head back out there this week! Good luck out there and thanks for watching!
I've bought one two many guns from this store 😂 they do have a great skeet and trap shoot range. Jus wish the rifle range stretched out further than 100 yds. Great store and great people for sure.
@@ABetterOutdoors I subbed to your videos during dove opener this year, absolutely great content. I used to hunt The Sam as well. Last year was the first year I took off because of my business, but watching your videos I was like hell naw. Went out and got all my permits and put in for some drawn hunts. Definitely going to try and make it out with my kids for that Huntsville squirrel hunt, that video was great and pushed me to get back at it. Thanks again.
@@JustBlessd84 that’s awesome man! Glad to hear it got you back in it! I’ve gotten super busy this year too but try to make time. My oldest is now 8 so I’m hoping to take her on a few of my adventures this season too. Best of luck out there!
Bought my Remington 11-87 at Carter’s Country. It’s an 11-87 Premier LC 12 ga and I still love it after 24 years! Great place! Also bought a Weatherby Mark V Deluxe in 257 Wby Mag there!
@@joshuaneuroth9488 i definitely want to try out a 20ga. and I plan on getting my little one a .410 so I should be changing it up here soon. Thanks for watching!! Good luck out there!
@@kadariusbryant3271 yea I never have too much luck here! But I saw plenty of birds, just too far and too high. Thanks for watching! Best of luck out there!
just got my safety course done yesterday. Going to buy a license this weekend on payday try to buy me a shotgun and get out squirrel or dove hunting for the first time!
Worst thing about Texas Parks and wildlife is they don't do anything to improve the habitat on public land in most units. They make millions every year from hunting license, permits and draw hunts and don't do anything to improve the habitat.
@@chuckparson6712 idk man I’ve been to some public with actual agriculture specific for hunting and blinds/stands that are pretty nice! Just gotta give it a shot a different spots! Thanks for watching and best of luck out there!
They put money into the draw units. Hunting pressure drives a lot of animals out from walk in units. There’s some really good hunting if you can draw it
@@Timberghost33 for sure! I’ve gotten drawn a handful of times and have always an opportunity during the draw! Thanks for watching and good luck out there
@@ABetterOutdoors It took me 5 years to finally draw a hunt and there was absolutely no habitat improvements, I was allowed to use an ATV, but the road I had to stay on had numerous fallen trees across it, the parking area was littered with broken glass and debris, probably because it was right beside the highway and beside the bridge. I hunted all day for 3 days and never saw a deer. Out of the 20 hunters that drew the hunt only 2 harvested a doe. I guess some people have all the luck 🤷
I knew it was Stringfellow as soon as I saw the blind, haha. Great place, we have hunted there a bunch, Earnest and the crew are great guys. There are some pretty nice bucks out there and on the refuge next door. The trick to the blinds is to cover the windows with camp burlap and cut shooting holes. The animals get pretty keyed in on them after all of the hunts and look right at them. If they see movement, they bolt.
Please do more videos like this. I love all the information you’re providing. My wife’s family hunt in NM but me being a Tx resident it’s obviously easier and cheaper. Especially since I’m such a new hunter. I’ve only been on hunts as a scout.
@@AmbassadorsoftheHunt i should be down there in a few weeks, might take you up on that! I usually go to Las Palomas and have decent success. Shoot me a DM on IG and I’ll holler when I go down. Thanks for watching!
