The build "French” 255ci Flathead V8 with Offenhauser aluminum cylinder heads and intake, dual Stromberg “97” carburetors, and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, is over the top, a true 1 of 1. Beautiful.
I used to own a 1967 2C and it was build like a Swiss watch. 4 on the column and it only required two fingers to change gear. Very underestimated small Italian sedans. If they would have had a bit more hp to be able to compete with the Guilia sedan they would have sold many more than the approx 100.000 units in its 8 year life span.
