Was in Humpty Doo briefly 35 years ago. Can't remember if I stopped into that pub. But two years ago I went back to the territory and did a helicopter pub crawl out of Darwin. Dundee beach,Crab claw Island, Darwin river,goat Island and Noonahma taverns .. Absolutely fantastic time. .
Had plenty of frothies there in the late 80's. Bloody great pub, free bands for a Sunday arvo session! Great food and great people! Fantastic to see its still going strong, heading back to Darwin next year... might just have to pop in for a frothy or two! Great vid mate.
Hard to retire in a pub, and the work load will put you in a earlier grave, because unfortunately you don't have the income to employ more staff, looks fun
I miss the way pubs used to be. What a shame pokies have moved in and more pubs aren't like this. Crikey, it's rare you'll even find an open fire these days.
We discovered this place on our first trip to Turon Gates,,stopped for lunch and a few beers and now stop there whenever we are out that way,,,,,Lookin at a stubby holder from this pub as I type,,,Love it.
